i'm loving all the theories, can't wait for you to find out more

OmG...that sucks about the Qrow comment. Sad to say, but you may need a moderator to check your comments before you see them.

That sucks Alex. I know I can be a bit wordy about my love of RWBY, especially when communicating with a reactor that really has some great insights, predictions, and head=cannons about the series, characters, and themes. I tread softly to avoid spoilers. There are times that CRWBY never explains something later and I feel like I could make a bit of a comment, but I tend to bite my tongue. It might, however, be a good thing to know that one of the coolest characters in the show does live....at least for a while ;) Or maybe forever? As for this batch of chapters, you picked some great ones. A glimpse of the world of Menagerie and the White Fang (and yes they are suss - I had the same reaction you did first time around.). Jacques Schnee is a abusing jerk and is just as stuck up as the ivory tower jerks attending the gala. Oscar Pine is a great character and you are one of the first reactors who ask themselves why Oscar lives with his *aunt*. It was the first thing that went through my mind too, even the first time around, and given how horrible a world Remnant is for kids, I knew that the story had to be traumatic. Maybe it is, or maybe we never find out. We also get to see Ren's reactions to Oniyuri and he mentions his parents. Ren is quiet, but he sure spoke up then. He is one of the nuanced characters of RWBY, to be certain, and one of my favorites slightly behind my Queen of the Castle, Nora. Tyrian is a bad-ass and they sure did jump right into that kerfuffle didn't they? He can take on multiple opponents quite easily. There is one reveal about Tyrian that is never explained in RWBY in the later volumes that I've discerned from the fandom, CRWBY interviews, the RWBY wiki and reddit and elsewhere. I'm so tempted to share it, but again I best bite my tongue to see if you figure it out yourself. You were so very close in this reaction after all. Ok how about an aside for you.....Ok gross little fact for you. Scorpions can't live without their stingers as it is also the way they.....ummmmm......use the little boy's room shall we say? Ewwww eh? And the lore, well this is the tip of the iceberg.

Bakura Magic

Think the turning into birds thing if genetic, It would just be Yang able to do it, because Raven is only the mother of Yang not Ruby. Probably a little confusing cause Ruby still calls Qrow uncle.

alex_and_anime

Yea i just may get 1 or 2 now. But also, I appreciate you guys for being so chill 😎

alex_and_anime

Oh yeah true, forgot he's only biologically related to Yang.

WishingEel

Qrow's bad luck semblance was foreshadowed a LOT but it's so subtle you'd never pick up on what it actually was on a first-time watch. The most noticeable moment was when he was first introduced, sitting in the "Crow Bar" and the bartender dropped + broke a glass and said "Aw, gee darnit." I remember thinking it was just a random funny bit but in hindsight it was definitely Qrow's semblance lol.

alex_and_anime

Dang, good call haha. Definitely has some solid rewatch value, even when editing, I notice things I didnt the first watch and im like OHHHHH haha.

Jojosanity

Because you brought up the bird genetic things now I’m wondering if yang could turn into a sunny little dragon like her dad called her haha

Ghost Tendency

Yeah, that's wild... Let the man get to that point in the show. THEN mention the change in voice actor. I hate people even hinting at things in the future. Like, "you'll love this episode coming up!" Even those types of comments are a spoiler in my opinion.

Diesel Marcus

First time I've heard someone theorize that about Ruby. Nice to see how many ways people can interpret information. RWBY is very special at the very least for that factor alone.

Diesel Marcus

YES! That's one of my favorites. Also how it may have contributed to the fact of Winter getting goaded into attacking Qrow to get in trouble.

Rinnzu Rosendale

Dang. Sucks you got spoiled on Qrow. Its supposed to be a lot more tense. Wish people would realize referencing anything that hasn't happened yet is a spoiler. No matter how vague they think they are. People just want to feel smart cause they know something the reactor doesn't.

Vic Walker

Damn, your theories are SO interesting.... I can't wait until you reach the chapters and volumes that will confirm or deny them hehehe that will be fun

Vic Walker

Really, you are not the first RWBY reactor I see catching the "spoiler" about Qrow changing voice actor later on. I'm starting to feel like it's the same person who just can't hold their fingers. Why would you need to tell that to someone still on volume 3 or 4? (yeah yeah the original voice actor was kicked out because of some scummy disgusting things he did, I know it's relevant to point out, BUT it's also spoiling that Qrow won't die early, you can just say "btw the VA is trash and not involved with RWBY since it came to light", no need to specify how and when the VA change happens)

Smiling

“is Ozpin a maiden” was hilarious! then to remember that the transfer is limited to young women 🤣 rather than a maiden, in theory, it makes more sense for me that Ozpin is the guy that gave the maiden powers. Remember the old guy in the fairytale? BTW, This is NOT a spoiler just my own personal theory/guess as I’m watching the show

Undeath Ghost

One of my favorite things to look back on, with the knowledge of Qrows semblance, is the Tirion fight. There's actually so much little stuff that feels kinda random when your not being captivated by the awesome fight choreography. Then you realize it's his semblance at work and it makes a lot more sense.

Undeath Ghost

Or hear me out just don't mention it at all unless the reactor somehow brings it up? I feel like the average viewer doesn't even recognize VAs all that much unless their hugely popular in all media.
