Yangs eyes go red when she activates her semblance and/or gets hella mad. Been a thing since the yellow trailer 😅

Alfonso Ureta

You know is a good day when I see 6 episodes of RWBY, you're almost halfway of the show

Special K

Holy shit, two hours of RWBY?! I'M HERE FOR IT! Every question you ask, I answered to myself, lol. This is gonna be good. Possible thoughts once I finish watching.

Special K

So Yangs hand tremors are supposed to indicate her dealing with reoccurring PTSD from losing her arm. It's one of my favorite parts about this series, they don't gloss over how someone's experiences can impact them throughout their lives.

Celly

I find myself consigning your words to memory, Alex. "RWBY is always going to be good, just some are gonna be gooder." I think it's why I like you and your reactions, Alex. Despite any naysayers, RWBY is so good and sometimes its better or worse. This was a nice treat to come home to 6 chapters of reactions, Alex. Many in the fandom had the same reaction as you at the still figures at the revelation of Mistral. It seems they use alternative visual storytelling in storytelling sequences. When Yang in Volume 2 spoke about her search for Raven, when she consoled Blake, there were still figures with alternative art. So, too, did the tale of the maidens from Ozpin to Pyrhha in Volume 3. Even Qrow's explanation to team RNJR in Volume 4 of the maidens and the gods was showcased using this method. That being said, it was the only small bit of the story. That fight with Yang and the bandits is probably my second favorite choreographed fight in RWBY next only to the train sequence in Volume 2. They learnt from the wunderkind that was Monty and started to show their mettle. Its a prettier volume too and it just gets "gooder". I promise. I love that you love Nora's quirky comic relief. She's much more than a beast with a hammer that got struck by lightning and didn't die. Even her eating makes sense.....she grew up as a starving orphan. I will adore her as my favorite for the remainder of my days. Lionheart's allusion is on the tip of your tongue. Think on it more given his choice of company in this world of Remnant. Don't shy away from the challenge. Maybe he would. Maybe not. William Orendorff is the voice actor of Hazel. He's mostly got RWBY credits and actually does the vast majority of the voices of the Grimm in RWBY. No, he wasn't the voice in One Piece, but has a very similar voice. Aaron Dismuke is the voice actor of Oscar Pine. Yes, he was also Senku in Dr Stone! He also did voices for Full Metal Alchemist. He was also Sheng Chao in To Be Hero which I know you reacted to in the past :) Shannon Mccormick is the eldest of the voice actors in CRWBY and you will still hear his voice in the mind of Oscar. His voice has some wisdom and age to it, eh? Aaron Dismuke actually mimics Shannon's voice quite well when he is speaking for Ozpin though and often they are mingled together with ease. Very talented. Vernal? Spring? Maybe you're onto something. I'm not going to confirm or deny your thoughts, but you are quite insightful in your predictions quite often, Alex. One of the troubles with Penny, Alex, is that she also had an aura which was dispensed with when she died. Penny wasn't an automaton like their robot soldiers of Atlas. Penny was a real person that just happened to have robot parts. They even introduced her way back when as having an aura, a soul, in the earlier volumes. I simply melted, and do with continued viewings, when Weiss leapt into the arms of Yang in the bandit camp. You start to realize just how tall some characters are in such scenes. Yang is a beast. Weiss, Ruby, Nora, and Neo are the smallest of the bunch and in that order.

CorgiSnapz

How has he possibly missed every time she activates her Semblance her eyes shift to red??

Rafael Perez

2 hourssss. Fire. Thank you so much

Alfonso Ureta

So Ozpin and the maidens are two different things, the Maidens pass their powers to the last person in their minds, but only the powers, while Ozpin gets reincarnated in a similar souls, and as time passes the souls merges, and so does their personalities and memories

Brandon Newton

Bro! I have the same theory about Ozpins death! That's crazy. Love the bulk drop, you're ever so closer to volume 6! You continue to be one of my top 3 reactors to this series. You crack me up with every other sentence. Also I volunteer to be kicked in the face by Raven, once your turn is complete 🙌🏻

Alex, this is the volume where Gray Haddock, former Rooster Teeth Animation studio director, was channeling funds from RWBY to his own IP that he was working on called "GEN:Lock". He ended up stepping down from his position when he was found out. He became just a consultant and then not long after just left Rooster Teeth altogether. It was a pretty huge controversy at the time (among other controversies). That's why Volume 5 had to take some shortcuts. Honestly it could have been worse. At least the illustrative environments are still breathtaking. According to former Rooster Teeth employee as well as Yang's voice actress, Barbara Dunkleman had mentioned that RWBY is incredibly expensive, costing between $25,000-$35,000 per minute of 3D animation. Miles had once explained that most of the fight scenes can't go beyond a minute because of that reason. And modeling each character cost a lot as well.

Mare

All I will say is that you do have A LOT more media literacy than some other fucking reactors. That's nice to see. You can put two and two together whereas , the others could be HIT by the narrative physically and they still wouldn't get it. In the meantime though, if you have options for Closed Caption, then I suggest that, as some of the voice actors don't have the best diction when they're In-Character, and sometimes it's an audio issue.

Mare

Just to remind you, back in Volume 2, Yang, when she still had both arms, was able to use a car as a projectile...with her fists. So the strength is more or less the same.

Mare

Yes...Yang's eyes turn red BECAUSE of her semblance. I'm actually surprised you missed this detail EVERYTIME she used her semblance LOL. It was even in her Yellow trailer. After Rooster Teeth switched engines from Poser to Maya, colors were a lot more vibrant than subdued in the Beacon volumes.

Mare

Lol, I was wondering the same thing too. Really surprised he hasn't caught on to that.

Mare

When this episode first aired, everyone thought that Khan's Tiger stripes were real. According to Kerry and Miles, Khan had them tattooed. All Faunus are modeled with the one natural Animal trait rule that Monty/CRWBY created.

Mare

Remember...Yang STILL has her PTSD

Diesel Marcus

No, they said the Spring maiden was a part of the bandits. The delivery is a little confusing.

JAMES D'ALESSANDRO

They said that Raven has the Spring Maiden. He told Raven that he saw what her tribe did to the Village of Shion, and that she had someone powerful with her that did all that damage.

Just saw your YouTube upload for chapter 1, I'd be willing to mod YouTube comments, I have experience with moderation on YouTube for a Brazilian content creator for some years already. I've watched RWBY more than 10 times already, that's how much I love it. And the FNDM (RWBY's fandom) had spoilers problem since the early years, it's not going away unfortunately. I'm @VictoriaWalker8 there, same profile picture.

Andrew Labdon

My dude, i want to spoil things SOOOOO bad, but i'm not an asshole, so i won't. I love your speculations in the first episode too much.

Andrew Labdon

Also, Sienna Khan... so little screen time, so, SO much fanfic
