It is only hinted at in the anime, but monsters in the Tensura world really are the enemies of humanity. Because of their aura and them leaking magicules just by existing, it is difficult for humans to even survive in an area where there are lots of monsters even if the monsters do not attack. Not only that, but monsters do usually attack humans indiscriminately. The nation of Tempest that Rimuru builds throughout the story is the exception that proves the rule. And as we will see, it is a constant struggle for Tempest to overcome everyone's preconceived notion caused by how other monsters act. The church is not evil, they protect humans from monsters. The major influence that the church has within human nations is proof of how monsters act outside of Rimuru's nation. It is easy for us viewers to criticize how the human nations react to Tempest being founded, but we have to keep in mind they do not have the information that we do. And based on their past experience with monsters, it is absolutely correct for them to perceive the new monster nation as a threat. If we were humans who lived in the Tensura world, we would agree with the church and human nations 100%. Now this is in no way me saying that I am on Falmuth's side, but as viewers in order to fully understand the political climate and way this world works, we have to at least be able to understand the reasons behind how nations and organizations act. It makes the story much more enriching if we examine perspectives other than our loveable slime MC! We do not have to agree with them, but we also shouldn't automatically pin them as completely in the wrong.

also, do remember what Veldora said about summoning. The three Otherworlders we see at the end were forced out of their home worlds just like Rimuru's students were. Not only that, but in terms of quality of life, this world is much less advanced than the world they are from. And even on top of that, they have a curse placed on them so they have to follow their summoners orders and are forced to be used as weapons! It is perfectly natural for them to be unhappy with the situation that was forced on them and want to get their freedom back. These three definitely do suck, but not for the reasons shown in this episode. We should actually feel sorry for them at this point.
