Demodrop #004 is here! Some nice tunes, but also noticed a lot of you are (I think) overthinking the production and to try and fill up the drops with so many different sounds.. - remember, it should still be a "song" haha. Meaning: whatever sound you have in there should be to some degree be "rememberable". Also sample selection & processing sounds is something I think we can develop in.. maybe in the next tutorial? What we thinkin'?Also, remember: my feedback is subjective! Even if the mix and master sound great, maybe the song itself just isn't for me personally 🤝🔥Hope this was useful!! Thank you very much for your detailed feedback. My biggest problem is that I always want to take all the elements that come to my head into the track, even though I know that won't work. Yes, the organ bass has a sub, but without it, it sounds wrong. I think I need to remove the organ bass and find another one without a sub and process all elements right to make space for each other. I mean in the mail that i suck on this version the last 3 weeks and I don't make any success because I have the feeling that the track will be worse than the idea is now

Great vid! To reply to your question, I think understanding your thought process on how to beef up basses and synths would be epic, when to use OTT when to not, when to use saturators, when to use sperate subs when to not, how to layer leads, how to use EQ to shape sounds etc. Basically your post processing methods. Always on point, thank you for the helpful feedbacks! I will try both to fix the vocal bending/pitch and I will try a more powerful launch right before the drop! Also, congrats to all the producers, I've listened to many great songs in the video! Love this Patreon, it's full of talented people!

I think instead of removing frequencies you need to try sidechain eq'ing/compression. So it only takes away the clashing frequencies, without completely removing the important ones either. That's why I really recommend plugins like Sooth & Trackspacer. Or you can even use Pro Q 3 or 4 and use dynamic eq'ing. I think what you should do is just let the track sit and marinate for a few weeks. Don't listen to it, don't work on it. Just ignore it & work on a bunch of other stuff. Then come back to it with fresh ears and see how you feel about it. Lastly you can even run it as a social marketing plan on TikTok and IG. "How are we feeling about this one?" and let people interact / create hype on it.
