Poll for the stat blocks that appear at the end of chapters for Self-Summon

Unfortunately, there is no way for me to hide them in a collapsed spoiler box on a Patreon like I do on other sites. Some people have said they're getting a bit long, so i wanted to get peoples opinions on how to proceed with them going forward. Currently, the changelog/full stat table only appears at the end of every full chapter on part 2/2, 4/4, etc.

I think the current stat block placement makes sense. If you don't care about it you can easily skip past it, or if you do care about it, you still get a refresher ever once in a while. The only thing I could think to do if it still bothers a lot of people is to have it appear every 5 or 10 chapters, but personally I like it the way it is.

I would have wrote the same +1 to this. I mean later if there is a printed book one day. I would change it.

Is there a way to do it as a comment, so we can open or collapse it? It works as it is for me but that could help for those who find it bothersome

Fiendish Fables

It will likely either be just the changelogs or only at the beginning/end in the published book. Still need to work that out with the publisher

Kirvin

You can attach files to posts right? Could probably do it that way.

Fiendish Fables

Just tested it and sadly they're download only/can't be viewed online, so I wouldn't want people to have to download files

Skgland

Maybe post the stat block as a separate post at the same time the chapter is posted that would have contained it.

This. I think this is probably the best way to go about it. If something similar to this was in the poll it would have gotten My vote.

I mainly read the chapters as emails on my phone where the current format is very nice to read. With chapters cut up into 3-4 parts it isn't to overwhelming either. And it's easy to skip since it's at the end.

Lijwent

Yeah I've seen an author do it as a pdf and it was quite annoying to have several dozen of them after a while, and it makes it hard to quickly check something while reading the chapter

It's fine as is, since you can easily skip past them. This would only be a real issue if you were binging the whole series in Patreon, and who does that? The RR version is a lot more polished. Though I will say that for an actual published book, option 2 would probably be best. Maybe one full sheet at the beginning and one at the end.
