Yesterday, I did my first in person shoot since March - masks, studio double doors open wide for lots of air flow, and keeping six to ten feet apart. Definitely felt good to be shooting, but I'd be lying if I said it wasn't stressful.

Not being able to shoot these past few months has been very rough for my mental health and, honestly, I'm not okay. Being a pretty private person, I'm not going to elaborate on that, but it needs to be put out there. Photography is my passion and livelihood. I have been fortunate to be able to stay afloat without shooting, your pledges have helped tremendously, but I have to start taking on shoots again.

Gonna be easing into it slowly, taking very limited bookings and working down on my wait list of locals since everything is so very uncertain at this time. I have outlined social distancing procedure, dusted off my telephoto lens, and there's certain series I just can't do, mainly ORAL for obvious reasons.

I'm not taking shooting again lightly. My partner is a cancer survivor. I live with elderly parents and we help care for my niece and nephew. My studio is apart of our home. We talked it over together as a family. My stress and anxiety are through the roof. I wish our country had it's shit together and actually stayed on lockdown and listened to the scientists. I'm terrified.

Happy to hear you are able to shoot again in a relatively safe way. Looking forward to see your new work! <3 Is there anything I can do?
