HELLO THERE, BROS. I won't even try to come up with anything clever to start of this weeks post. Normally I would, but I feel like no matter what I say it won't make for the fact that I have no exciting spoilers to show of this week. So fuck it. UPDATES. Looks like that new awesome Tomb Raider remaster got updated for the modern audiences last week. Since I checked out from the modern gaming (remasters included) I didn't buy this remaster, but I know that many people did. I wonder how they feel about this whole thing. I think the majority don't know or care about "little" things like that. For me though, this sort of stuff is a huge problem. Personally I think "updates" like that should be illegal.

THIS IS ALL SO TIRESPOME. There was also an "update" to that PokemonGo mobile game, but don't feel the desire not energy to even talk about it. All I can do is mention it. If you know you know. This is hardly a news at this point, stuff like that was happening for several years now.FAIRY TAIL. All this talk about censorship reminded me of that one time when I bought that one game that had no censorship in the gameplay trailers, but got "updated" with a day-one patch. This event became one of the factors that made me finally open my eyes and see the reality of the video game industry today, so in a sense something good came out of it (despite the wasted money).SOME GOOD NEWS. Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 looks good. This is one of those games that I doubt I will ever play myself but I am glad it exists. This world could always use more good games. I mean you can't survive on Akabur's games alone, right? XDHAD A CHAT with a guy on my discord channel who has a game on Steam. According to him the process of putting a game on Steam is not as complicated as I feared. That being said I don't see how I could put any of my existing games on Steam, but this could be something to consider for the future. I don't trust Steam, but at least at the moment their terms of service are way less restrictive than Patreon's are.

STELLA GLOW. Continue to enjoy the game. A little bit annoyed that nobody even recommended it to me before (I had to learn about if from some random Twitter post). Finished Popo's recruitment storyline. Enjoyed it a lot. Looking forward to recruiting the rest of the witches.TRIVIA. Maslab's sprite from Princess Trainer has fun scribbles on it. This part of the sprite is not shown well in Princess Trainer so I think not many people saw these :) I discovered this while making some adjustment's to his sprite for QT. ^_^ I suppose I did see them before but never paid too much attention. Always was too busy, PT development was super rushed.

THE WORK. This week I was hoping to draw some more stuff but instead had to do a lot of coding and testing. Discovered an instance where the same scene was repeated twice only written in different words. I suppose at some point I wrote it, forgot about it and wrote it again. Oh, well. I spent the week working but have nothing to show for it. Well, whatever. It's not like you guys support me for my games, you support me for Monday Posts, right? ^^THAT IS ALL. Next Monday will be another Monday post. And until then I will continue to work. Thank you for your support. See you next week.-Aka-

2026-09-07 15:00 Yes, you should seriously look into Steam. Many of your fans will happily support you monthly AND buy your game on Steam. There are a LOT of steps to get approved... (Identity, Photos, country of business, banking, taxes... to name a few) but after that, the only real issue you'd have is trademark infringement (Jasmine... for example) so you might need to make a Steam-only version with her removed. But, Steam could be an excellent marketing path to gain new followers as well.

Jasmine + Rajah = Love 100% True. I know it. I have seen it.

Kingdom Come deliverance is an amazing game. If you haven’t played the first one you should. I can’t wait to see how the second game turns out.

Varsh

Oh my, those screenshots (of the tomb raider and Pokemon go updates) broke my heart for some reason. 😢.

Rwede

I'm sacrificing everything I have to have a secret scene where this happens.

MUPLUR

We are with you, my brother

Moxence

If I die, I should go before him. He will ask me what the secret of steel is. If I don't know, he will throw me out of Valhalla and laugh at me. Such is Crom, strong on his mountain

Another good post, not every week can have lots of awesome news, on Pokemon Go, I am amused by how fast it grows and falls, at the moment it seemed like the new thing, but looking back, it was there (at least as strong as it started) for a few months, but hey, that is spotlight for you.

DMG Entertainment

Steam is easy as long as it's not against the TOS. They can get sketchy if it's even close to the grey area of bordering on breaking a law somewhere.

I think this whole censorship thing is silly. Gaming for me, in general, is all about escape from reality. It's like, with these changes, they want games to be more like reality (only without all the beautiful people out there). Saw this great comment about these Pokemon Go changes on Youtube who said something like: "I am sure 90% of all women would also want to play as a hot lady". These changes and censorship issues feels forced by the delusional vocal minorty out there, and companies are bending to their will.

TheMilkWay

Yea kingdom come have potential but still empty world and limited features

Ham

Check out Aka's own Magic Shop!

That .gif is from the sequel, Conan the Destroyer, and I may be its only fan.

Moxence

Yep but my punchline was just because i see Conan and i love this line bro conan was one movie who it me hard

The virtue signalling is starting to cost, and a lot of companies don't like losing money as consistently as they are. With games like Stellar Blade taking off despite massive attempts to crush them, hopefully we'll soon have a return to the cute ladies and action men of old!

I wish I was as optimistic as you are. My view on this is a bit more pessimistic. I don't see things ever going back to the way they once were, simply because games are a reflection of the current state of the culture and the overall mood of the nations. There are simply way to many idiots and idiotic ideas around these days. That being said I believe that things could change slightly, but never to the degree they once were. At best the corporations will try to please both parties but never going far enough. In fact they do it now already, Squaerenix is a good example, releasing those swimsuits for Tifa and Aeris while retroactively censoring Tifa's outfit in the previous game. Censorship is not the only issue here by the way: an obsession with polygons and foto-realism over art direction is another reason for the current downfall. P.S. I am watching the Stellar Blade development. The devs are definitely our guys. But I have a feeling they will get crushed like all the others before them. I hope I am wrong though. Fuck, sorry for all the negativity. By now, I honestly hope I am just an old coot who is wrong about everything ^_^

akabur

I know that not everyone liked that game, but those who did, seem to REALLY have liked it. I think it's a good thing. Game for everyone is a game for no one.

Trevor Bond

Nah, it's fine. See, I have optimism because this has happened before! Remember to check old Hammer Horror flicks from the 70's. Tits everywhere, gore spraying on the walls, and those guys were playing catch up. Then they tried to reign that in, and by the 90's we were into more gross out humor and elastic swimsuits with a wink and a nudge. It bounces back and forth as people try to go the opposite direction of their parents. It might take time, but Stellar Blade is already selling like wild, and people are becoming more vocal after ten to fifteen years of crap. Besides: you exist, what more proof do I need in the continued fine taste of the silent majority? Studios that lose all their money can't continue to try and please the screamy idiots, and they're continuing to splinter into smaller and pettier groups that are now starting to attack one another (this is how religious groups lost the Satanic Panic in the 80's and 90's and 'violent video games' stopped being a thing in the 2000's despite them being MORE violent and graphic than ever).

Deze Deze

Great, let the mistakes be corrected in a timely manner.

Deze Deze

Круто,там написано Джаффар Лох))))

BadSpider

yep it was a really good game

akabur

Oh, on this I completely agree with you. The history repeats itself. There is a period of decay and then a renaissance comes. The problem for me is that it will not be exactly the same, but I realize that it is a silly complaint. In a way the things are definitely better now than 5 or even 10 years ago, because before all I saw was people cheering on stuff that I can't stand in my games. Nowadays I see normies starting to wake up, and there is a push back. Well, we will see how it goes. The success of Stella Blade is definitely a step in the right direction. ^^

akabur

I hear that some countries (for example Germany) have no access to 18+ games on steam. Also I don't think wasting time on cutting content from my old games is a good strategy here. That being said I may try and create a game especially for steam, sometime in the future.

Deonast

hmm I've yet to get around to playing it. I should though considering I was backer and purchased on other platforms to show my support. Urrgh time is never abundant.
