332 - Too Busy Playing Q.T. (Patreon)

HELLO THERE, dear bros! How is it going? I don't have much to say workwise and have nothing new or exciting to show. So yeah... Thank you for your support ^_^FABLE. Over the week a whole bunch of video games related news were made public. I didn't do any research but from what I have seen so far Fable continues to look very modern. Moving on.

PERFECT DARK. New Perfect Dark game has been announced. Looks very modern. Moving on.DRAGON AGE. Supposedly new Dragon Age game will be released this year. From the looks of it it will be extremely modern. Moving on.

STARSHIP TROOPERS. New Starship Troopers game has been announced. The irony is that it looks like a Helldivers 2 rip off, even though it is supposed to be the other way around. The trailer looked weak and I hate the motorcycle helmets they gave everyone. STAR WARS. Another shitty Star Wars show was released and apparently it is shitty. But who cares at this point? Moving on.IRIS. Dahr sent me some new Iris cosplay pics. You can find them in the attachment or on my twitter. Cosplyer's name is: LERA HIMERA.STELLA GLOW. During last week I didn't have much time to play anything other than Queen Trainer, but what I did play of Stella Glow was quite an experience. The protagonists have reached a very low point in the story, when all the hope seems lost and I must say it was very well written. I loved how the devs went as afar as to change the character's in-battle phrases, so that they would sound depressed, to replace the usual cheerful quips. Such a nice touch. Also going to the Franz atelier and seeing that girl taking over the shop after her father died. Man, I wasn't ready for this. Hit me right in the fucking kokoro this one did. T_TTHE WORK. Like I said I have nothing new to show this week so there will be no EXTRA!! post. During last week I have been playing Queen Trainer from the beginning and I must say, not only it is actually fun to play but it also (almost) works. I try to play fairly, to test the economy, but sometimes I still use console commands to add gold and change other variables for testing purposes. But it was still fun. That being said I have discovered quite a few pretty serious bugs and some text missing or written incorrectly and requiring extra work. This week I plan to continue to do the same: play and fix QT. Really looking forward to it. Finally experiencing a game I have been working on for 2+ years is a feeling like no other :)KEEP IN MIND THOUGH. I still have a lot of work ahead of me. For one the sound is completely missing still, that is something I will be adding at the very last moment. Also "the cake" (true ending scene) is still missing. It's nothing to grandiose but will also require some time when I get to it. And finally the achievements are still missing. That is something that will also take some time.THAT IS ALL. I honestly don't have much more to say at this point. This week should be fun. I'll see you all next week, cherished bros!

Stella Glow sounds great. It's a pity that there isn't a PC or Android version, as I'd love to play it.

I play it on PC though. CITRA emulator. Fan made ROM with all the original japanese audio restored :)

I will sacrifice immersion for attractive female characters 100% of the time. Also, the assumption that they do it for 'realism' is incorrect; they do it because 1) they actively dislike anything that appeals to hetero males, and 2) don't want to offend a particular crowd of biological males who claim to be something else (as has been admitted in writing by AAA devs).

I just like how 'modern' seems to mean 'we took the characters and pounded their faces with a frying pan until they were broader than their original torsos'. And by like I mean oh look, a shiny old school game in my collection featuring things I WANT to look at!

who i really though dahr was not in the picture anymore no thing on his patreon since 2022 i though something happend to him or he changed life. Cosplay is good looking the girl got a fansly and she does nude so thank for the ref :P Hope to see iris in 2024 in queen trainer :')

One thing that I love is that you have a list of things you still have to do and we the audience can slowly see the progression of this game. 2+ years is worth the wait for a quality game. Don't lose hope before the finish line. ;]

And if you criticise that strategy on a game's forums (you will get modded out of existance). I did that with a game forum the other day, was pretty modest with my comment on their putting aphabet politics in the game community events and one of the criteria they censored me on was bringing up politics (ah hypocrisy) :) (I unsubscribed from their news letter, who needs that, life is too short)

Yeah... Funny thing, when I was younger the word "modern" always had a positive connotation to it. These days it's the complete oposite. -_-

When Russia got sealed off he wasn't able to withdraw the money from Patreon anymore so he sort of focused on other things. He is much older than me and holds a legendary status among Russian-speaking illustrators and geeks so he is doing fine. That being said I really wish he would create more stuff with Iris or any stuff in general really. I always love his work -_-

Thanks. This is the least I could do really. Sometimes the thought that you guys support me despite me releasing zero content for almost 3 years now get's a bit overwhelming. One day I feel really flattered by all the support, the other it weights on me and I really wish I could release QT sooner. I am not complaining of course, these are just random thoughts. ^_^ You guys are great and deserve the best, and I will make sure to deliver it. Soon* T_T
