HELLO BROS, how is it going? I can't believe the time flew by so fast and it's Monday again. (Although I feel like I say exactly the same thing almost every Monday.) Oh well, it is what it is, here comes another Monday post!

PINTEREST. Long time ago I have created a Pinterest account because it was a good place to look up reference pictures. Then my account got suspended for not reason. Well if we want to get technical I think I uploaded a profile pic that they thought was inappropriate. In any case after that happened I never bothered to create another account there. And few days ago I received this email from the site: "somebody tried to access your deactivated account" account. This sounds so dumb. It's like your ex girlfriend calling you only to hang up on you.

TO OTHER NEWS. I bought a pair of Anti-Blue-Light glasses. I have a feeling I just wasted my money, but who knows? If their really do lower the eye strain from the computer screens, it's worth a try. SHOP. Didn't add anything new to the shop this week. Moving on. THE WORK. Last week I spent majority of my working hours putting the story scenes together. It could get tedious at times, but it still feels nice to see things coming together. WORK(2). At a certain point I realized that I completely forgot about one important art asset, so I had to dedicate some time to work on that. WORK(3). So yeah, that was what I did last week: coding, importing finished art assets into the game and working on one more outfit for our beloved main protagonist.

AND THAT IS IT. Don't have anything exciting to report yet again. Basically just another week at the forge. Thank you for your support and I will see you all next Monday. Laterz.-Aka-A few links just in case:buymeacoffee.com/akabursubscribestar.adult/akaburitch.io/profile/akaburbitchute.com/akaburhttps://boosty.to/akabur

If those anti-blue-light glasses make April’s new outfit pop even more… that’s money well spent. Turtle Power!

Ace

Epic art, even if the glasses don't work is good that you look over your health, and well, we all have our list of one time sites

Jon Hansson

So... When can we buy the hoodie?

Trevor Bond

Now I'm imagining you swinging some kind of magic cartooning hammer at a special forge fueled by ink and caffeine...

DMG Entertainment

My daughter says her glasses work really good. I would like the hoody, but I also like not being divorced.

Dandalord

As always it's good to hear from you AKA

Danlorn

Once again, our Pakistani fella Piss Off got bullied by the website mods... 😔

Legen

wait he's pakistani?

Danlorn

Of course he is. Allahu Akabur!

Jopa Sruchkoi

Yep, he confirmed himself. His real name is Rubaka Pissoff

Skublahind

I've got a blue light filter on my glasses since I stare at multiple monitors all day and they work pretty well. Definitely less eye stress, but still have to make an effort to get variable distance focusing in throughout the day.

Bob

Blue light glasses still rank in the top 5 adult purchases I've ever made.

Jopa Sruchkoi

Is it... AI generated background? 😑 Is it a temporary placeholder, or Akabur, the last hope of the mankind, has fallen to the souless machines? Btw, I got my Pinterest account deactivated recently too. That's why I prefer to buy games on Jast USA or similar platforms, download them and keep them locally - who knows if Steam will ban my account tomorrow just cause. Jast USA btw have fun disclaimer: "You are free to use and copy the software for your personal needs without restriction. Additionally, we don't require authentication software, because that's LAME. You shouldn't need to give up your privacy just to have fun.")

Been thinking about how your current workflow on Reporter Trainer compares to Queen Trainer 🧐 Back then you had all these distinct phases (writing, drawing, coding, testing) done in big, focused blocks (several weeks dedicated for each). But with Reporter Trainer, it feels like you're mixing things up more week to week: a little story, a little art, some code... Do you feel more comfortable working this way? Or is it just how this project naturally flows? Also, have you figured out the full arc of the story yet? Or are there still parts you're open to suggestions on (specific scenes, character moments, weird ideas)?

Jopa Sruchkoi

I think it's more about the beginning of the project vs the end. Plus, of course, QT is more "gamey" which forced more planning. In the beginning there's so much to do, that you just are trying to build foundation, understand what kind of game you are making and make sure all pieces of this foundation fit together. Later the creation process becomes more streamlined. 🤷

The revolving door of pins that become deactivated and reinstated due to the slightest hint of nudity or sex appeal is utterly ridiculous.

akabur

As usual NSFW artists suffer the most.

akabur

Well since I want to keep things "less gamey" this time around it sure helps save the time on variables calculations and testing. Also the thought that the development cycle will be shorter than 3 years cheers me up. I have a lot of things planned out, story beats and such, but I know from experience that things sometimes change quite drastically when you start writing the planned events, some things don't fit well and need to be changed, new ideas come and old ones get abandoned. That being said I already know how the whole story will end. It's nothing ground breaking though, as usual I am mostly focusing on moment to moment events and character's interaction than the overall story :)

I by games un JASTusa sometimes as well. Good website. And after eShop and PSN nuked all Russian accounts after the Ukraine thing I am not trusting any digital purchases. All your digital stuff can be taken away at any second, or updated or censored or messed around without your permission in some other way. Thankfully I only play old console games these days so I don't really care. I but up an ISO and know I am getting the full experience.

akabur

I wish somebody let me know about them years ago ^_^

akabur

Yeah, I hear it's very good for your eyes to focus on different distance throughout the day, if possible. Anyway, it's nice to know that this blue light glasses things is more popular than I thought. I just wish somebody mentioned them to me before.

akabur

Glory to Pakistan - my Homeland.

akabur

I continue to be surprised by the amount of people who know about this blue light glasses thing and yet nobody ever mentioned them to me T_T

akabur

That's EXACTLY how I make all my games :)

akabur

I always try to look out for my health, I want to create many more games:)

akabur

Yeah, they make everything super yellow 💛

MrLazare

Thanks a lot for your answer 🤗

Trevor Bond

If I don't find a hidden room with that image in a future game I will be disappointed lol!
