HELLO there the most cherished of all the cherished bros! Thank you for your support! Enjoy these collection of WIP from the last week. These are a bit on a spoilery side but I think if I refrain from overexplaining things we should be fine. On that note, I will be taking me leave. Enjoy the WIPs and I will see you all next Monday. (And in the comments.) ^_^

Watching this come together from loose sketch to dynamic pose to clean, confident linework is seriously satisfying... There’s something timeless about seeing pencil on paper bring a character to life, it’s pure Akabur craftsmanship... And now look at her: mid-air, full of attitude, probably one second away from either landing a perfect trick… or wiping out in style 😅 One thing’s clear though: she’s way past background character status at this point!

Icytoed

Oh man, sk8ergurl is gonna end up stealing the show! Total hottie!

Jopa Sruchkoi

At this rate I will stop looking at extra 😀 too much spoilers

akabur

Yeah, I am worried about this myself. I am not showing you everything, but I still feel like I show too much sometimes. I need to think about this some more.... -_-

akabur

She won't be the only side character. Let's what you'll say when you see the rest. XD

trollmahn

I support giving the skater girl her own starring roll in a game.

Ace

Awesome job

MrLazare

Yes, she's great but no one can still the show from April...

MrLazare

That's what she said ;-)

2026-09-07 15:00 From the images, It looks like Skater-Girl will be fully dressed while doing her tricks at first and then, through proper education by our hero, slowly undresses more each show, until she's naked except piercings in the final show. I can only hope our omnipotent leader is in agreement!

DMG Entertainment

Love the art now I hope she boards without bra or undies in the shirt and jacket.

Henrik

Delicious 😋

Icytoed

Can't wait!

Trevor Bond

Can't wait to see how she an April interact...

Vividly remembering my young skateboard-obsessed youth in Brooklyn and realizing, when all is said and done, there’s really not much more to life than lusting after a cute skater girl. Thx for the memories, Ak ❤️

MANITU Games

Amazing extras this week! Thank you for sharing!

I love watching the process of concept art -> wip -> finished product. Thanks for showing little bits and pieces like the old days. From what you've shown so far, incredible new stuff and sooo exciting! Akabur rules :)

akabur

Thank you for your kind words yet again. When people praise my work too much I sometimes get an Imposter syndrome, but I am happy that I can continue to do what I do and that it is appreciated ^^ I will try to keep Skatergirl's WIPs to the minimum from now on I think. It will be difficult, but it needs to be done. I want you guys to discover her on your own in the game, to make it more personal for you :)

akabur

Already? Could you at least wait for her "side character" game to be finished? XD

akabur

There will be something along those line, but not exactly as you describe it. I won't say more. I feel like I have spoiled way to much already :)

akabur

No comments XD (I should really stop with the spoilers XD)

akabur

I will try not to take another 3 years to develop this one, I swear.

akabur

Well said. Honestly, beautiful words. And very true XD

akabur

I am glad you like them. I will continue to share more as I keep on working. ^_^

akabur

Thanks. As an artists I love sharing this stuff and getting your feedback, but I think I start listening to the gamedev in me, and try to dial down on the spoilers. XD
