The Mating Season (The Game!) Version 1.04.

Originally this game was released in 2018—not that long ago. Wait… that’s 8 years ago. Oh, wow.

Well, in any case, if by any chance you haven’t played this one yet, you’re in for a trip. ^_^

While getting the game ready for today’s release, I played it start to finish again and decided to make one tiny change to the gameplay.

Previously, you had to beat the game once to unlock the consistency feature (April retaining the look she ended up with in the previous episode). The epilogue was also only shown on the second playthrough. In this version of the game, the consistency feature works right from the get-go, and beating the game once unlocks the epilogue and all the extra content—such as the music room, the gallery, and the game background setting.

Replaying the game one more time for this release also made me appreciate how self-contained it is. Just a neat little game. It made me want to create something similar one day, but with another character. Maybe Ashelin or Lara.

Down below you’ll find download links for Windows, Mac, and Linux. As for the Android version, it should be ready in a couple of days. As soon as I get the APK file from XALJIO, I’ll share it here as well.EDIT: The Android version has been added. It’s labeled v1.05 because I updated the code to make the on-screen buttons bigger and easier to use on phone screens—that’s the only change.
