JCP COMISSION 01 (1 PAGE) (Patreon)

Here is another piece that I think is not very well known (or maybe it is well known, I have no idea :)). This was a commission for a guy who introduced himself as JCP. I don't remember exactly how much I got paid, but I imagine it wasn't much. I was always too shy to charge proper money for my commissions, which is honestly one of the main reasons I always hated taking them.

This particular commission was at least somewhat interesting to work on since it was a very familiar theme to me: TMNT. Another thing I would like to mention here is that this is one of the very few of my drawings that was inked digitally. I had only just bought my first Wacom back then and was trying really hard to switch from regular inking to digital. After this piece was done, I continued to ink digitally for another few weeks, but I never liked the result.

Digital ink always felt soulless to me. I know some artists can do it pretty well, but not me, unfortunately. Even now, when I look at the pencil scan, it feels nice and fuzzy, while the lines on the finished, colored piece feel cold and dead to me.

Anyway, I am getting off track here. Enjoy another one of my old drawings, and thank you for your support!
