First of all, i apologize for the complete inactivity in general, even tho i promised that we'll be back to our usual BS after the con.

Below is the reason for my inactivity and what's currently stressing me out, you can skip it if you don't wanna read it doesn't have anything to do with this patreon's contents.

So some of ya'll know that i helped Namiiori print and ship a ton of his books. The whole process was time consuming but eventually after a few months i managed to get everything out the door and shipped, which happened around the first week of August.

The courier service i use is called qxpress, which is under the larger company of qoo10, a fucking GIANT ecommerce company based in Singapore that has been operating since i was a teen. ALSO around that period of August, the CEO of qoo10 got exposed for owing a ton of vendors and merchants in Korea money, to the point where he was grounded from flying out of country. This fking cannon event will eventually snowball to fuck me in the ass lmao.

So, i started getting emails from a ton of customers, mostly namii's and some from my own kofi shop, of their orders being stuck in "Label Created". I noticed most of the US bound parcels were all frozen in a similar state, and slowly over the weeks, the qxpress site started narrowing their list of countries to eventually not even accepting deliveries from individuals.

Earlier last week, it was announced that 80% of the qoo10 staff in Singapore's office were laid off because of financial issues within the company. Idk how i could've ever predicted an ecommerce giant to collapse overnight but regardless it's still on me to get the packages to the customers, which is my main cause of stress and it's so overwhelming i spend my days just sending them emails and zoning out trying to process the sheer scale of this.

In the worst case scenario that all of our parcels is lost, including the paid shipping, that will amount to about 9k USD of total shipping and production cost, and will pretty much negate any profit namii made from the book lol.

Right now we're just hoping the packages get delivered over the week so we're gonna wait a week before taking action or making an official announcement.

But yeah this is what i'm dealing with rn, sorry for the lack of art, and this time idk when i can resume my usual activities. Please feel free to unpledge, i feel horrible for taking your money and not giving shit. Thank you for your support.

Poor Namii, he just cannot catch a break. I really hope things work out - I know he needed the book to sell well to pay some bills.

Bloody hell, I honestly don’t know what to say or even suggest. Sorry you and Namii have this bullshit to deal with. Hoping it gets resolved some way or somehow that doesn’t end with you both out of pocket.

Shifty

yeah i hope so too, the tracking says the labels were already printed in the US, my guess is they're waiting for SG branch to ship it over but SG branch might be changing their airfreight frequencies to cut costs or using sea mail secretly instead

God damn, sometimes when things go south they go way south, hopefully it all works out and blows over soon for ya'll, no worries on the wait

KazutoIshin

Damn Shift, I'm really sorry to hear that happened, that sounds insane, I really hope that they are held accountable for making sure whatever orders were already paid for are taken care of but you never know with these companies. I wish you both the best outcome

Walid

Holy shit okay I had no idea, I was hoping it wasn’t too terrible but goddamn it it’s insane. I’ll pray for both of you and that all of this huge mess get solved 🙏 Good luck going through this And don’t be sorry for not being active when this shit is happening lmao

Masha

Please just take your time. Holy shit, that is way too much for y'all to deal with.

Qoo10 was literally everywhere in August in Korean news, but I didn't think this e-commerce crisis effected on you too...feels so sorry to you and Namii. Hoping it resolved, man...
