This is just an idea I had that hasn't found a place int he comic. It may never, but I made it and it seems like something someone might be interested in seeing so it's extra content!

Reggie doesn't strike me as a romantic per se, but I feel like when he's being earnest he'd do it accidentally. Maybe he'd even pick up on the visual cues that would let him know the comment landed better than he intended.

Alex not being used to that kind of sincerity and taking a moment to process it with a deflection seems right for her.
