Hey everyone! I’ve created a brand new template pack for IDEOGRAM 4, the NEW MOST POWERFUL OPEN-WEIGHT TEXT TO IMAGE AI MODEL!

You can check out the video right here: https://youtu.be/i94qkL7BwGw

The Ideogram 4 workflow: https://www.patreon.com/posts/1603576911-click installer: https://www.patreon.com/posts/160357712

And...this one is not a new installer or a new workflow, but it might actually make Ideogram 4 WAY easier to use...

Because yes, Ideogram 4 is insane, but if you don’t know how to prompt it correctly, and if you don’t understand how the JSON prompts work, you might never get anywhere close to what this model is actually capable of.

But now thanks to the newest KJNodes prompt node update, you can copy and paste full JSON prompts, create your own templates, save them, select them whenever you want and modify them to suit your needs.

So for this video, I created 25 high-quality Ideogram 4 JSON templates for my Patreon supporters, covering a bunch of different use cases like posters, logos, book covers, comic covers, food ads, product ads, real estate promos, restaurant menus, trading cards, magazine covers, character sheets, game item sheets, anime covers, realistic photoshoots, mixed-style images, and more.

Each template comes with the JSON file and a preview image, so you can quickly see what each one does.To install the templates, unzip the archive, then just copy the JSON files inside this folder:

ComfyUI_windows_portable\ComfyUI\user\default\kjnodes\ideogram4\templatesThen select the template inside the kjnodes templates tab, modify it, and start generating cool images right away.

Down below you will find the full IDEOGRAM 4 JSON TEMPLATE PACK for you to use!

As always, supporting me on Patreon allows me to keep creating helpful resources like this for the community. Thank you for your support, and now go have some fun with Ideogram 4😉!

Isn't it going to be a problem with use cases like "...logos, book covers, comic covers, food ads, product ads, real estate promos" if you actually want to be paid/earn from creating those for yourself of for another company? Since the downloadable Ideogram seems for non-commercial use only surely you couldn't use it to generate the book cover for your own book or anyone else's (if it was book that would be sold) or promo images/vids due to the license not allowing commercial use.

Outputs are a bit more complicated than the model itself. Once someone starts modifying an image in Photoshop or elsewhere, adding their own branding, changing the text, adjusting the layout, adding logos, fixing details, or combining it with other tools, the final asset becomes part of a bigger creative workflow and not just the raw output of 1 single model. So these templates are mainly here to help people learn how to prompt Ideogram 4 properly, understand the JSON structure, create better layouts, and make better mockups. What people do after that depends on their own project and the license of Ideogram they are using for their own specific use cases.

Thanks. I saw you show on the last video it saying "license: ideogram-4-non-commercial" on the model page. Surely if someone downloads that local model and outputs an image with it, even if they then edit that generated image with photoshop to add lots of other stuff to it, they'd still be using the output image of that ideogram-4 local model for commercial use which wouldn't be allowed. I agree people might use online ideogram models through an API that might allow commercial use (but cost to use). Ideally it would be good if we could have more tutorials on local free models that can do similar things to that. Though maybe there aren't many quite like it. Maybe Ernie Image is a bit similar but with worse text. It would be good to have other tutorials for other topics too though (not only image/video generation).

Aitrepreneur

That’s exactly why this whole AI output licensing situation has always been so vague. If you use the local non-commercial weights and directly sell the raw output, then yeah, the safest interpretation is that it would not be allowed. Even though in practice, it would still be extremely difficult to determine exactly which model was used to generate it. But then what happens if the image is edited heavily in Photoshop, used only as a mockup, passed through another image-to-image model even at low denoise, upscaled with another tool, inpainted, combined with other assets, or used as only one part of a larger design workflow? That’s where things get blurry, and I don’t think anyone really has a perfect answer yet because there is not much precedent for this stuff and I've never heard of any company that have actually enforced it before... For other models, that's the thing, Ideogram is the first and only open weight model that allows this much control and such precision. For the other topics, it all depends on whats new and available and what interests the audience as well, if I make a tts video but no one watches it, it tells me that people don't want to see that so I'll make less of it...

Some of what makes this stuff so interesting is that it is so new and so uncharted, that I don't think anyone has ever enforced anything or set any precedents in terms of legality of use. I mean this model can make some pretty legit Mario images with ease, and I don't think the Ideogram people have Nintendo permission for that. Maybe that's more of a reason for them not to want people to do commercial things with the model, but the point being all of this stuff new legal territory.

I don't have a kjnodes\ideogram4\templates do I just make one?

Morbid

kjnodes folder missing for me

HealingPaint

Yes I did (on Linux, case-sensitive, so all lowercase if you do on Linux) and it worked fine.

1. Make sure to update comfyui. For this, go inside the ComfyUI_windows_portable\update folder and run the update_comfyu.bat file. 2. Update the nodes. For this, launch comfyui, click the manager button and click on “update all”. Then once everything is updated click restart. 3. Click on the template button inside the ideogram 4 prompt editor and click save template. Then go to the ComfyUI_windows_portable\ComfyUI\user\default\kjnodes\ideogram4\templates Folder, it should be there

Did it 2 times

Don't just update, click on the save template button, in any cases it will create a new folder if you are running the latest version of the node

Hi, first of all thanks for all your work! Here's an error I can't fix: I updated ComfyUI / KjNodes and I see the templates dropdown inside Comfy. However when selecting a template my browser shows an error dialog: "That template isn't a valid caption JSON." and stops loading. I did not edit the JSON, just coipied it straight out the zip file from this page. Does anybody kow what might be the problem?

Virtamouse

Amazing model. Thanks for the templates. They really help with understanding how to use this powerful tool. I am looking forward to lora training for this beast.

Aitrepreneur

can you dm me the full error log, this is not normal

CemeteryPumpkin

SCAIL 2 next please (better than WAN Animate apparently)! You're doing wonderful work. Thank you.

Aitrepreneur

I will, not sure if next next since lora training for ideogram might take priority

John Cannan

It is like every week is Christmas from Aitrepreneur! Always something new and cool!

Json prompting still gives me the safety filter when i typed in mario or kingdom hearts.

tyrelli doomah

"Image blocked by safety filter" on some generations.

Anthony

Move all the .json files to the main ideogram4/templates root. It doesn't like having directories inside of the root.

Wow...this is wonderful. I would NEVER have been able to figure out Ideogram 4 on my own without the video guidance and, especially, these templates. For those wondering, this DOES work at 12GB VRAM, though it's on the slower side...especially for the magazine cover. On a sadder note, it appears your wonderful LTX-2.3 Ultra Workflow is no longer working. It's too bad, because I had a lot of fun with it. From what I can tell, it appears the problem is the custom node from Lightricks called ComfyUI-LTXVideo. The built-in manager gave me a failed installation. I then tried installing in the custom_nodes folder directly from Github using the git pull command, and it still spit out an error message. Just an FYI if you ever think of revising it, because that was really a spectacular video creator, especially for those of us with smaller VRAM cards.

Ken L. Black

Oh, wow....THANK YOU! This is greatly appreciated, kind sir!

wsafq

wow, this indeed fixed it... however, I read your answer AFTER I found another way how to fix it lol. Inside VS code (or another json editor) change indent from 4 to 2 spaces and resave the JSON. THEN you can keep a folder structure and everything works. Thanks anyway

wsafq

there was no error log, it was a browser error dialog box just saying "That template isn't a valid caption JSON." I'm too lazy to look at KiJai's code to fix the bug as Anthony suggested the easiest solution, so props to him and mybe you wanna add this info to your guide (Keep the json files inside the main directory templates)

LucreziaNavarre

I second that. What I see from SCAIL is nuts and being the noob I am, I'm itching for my AI Overlord to prepare it to use for me <3

Q. How do I switch off or bypass the image safety filter?
