Since you are already encoding in h265, could you render future contents in 5k or 6k? I use HP reverb for viewing and the difference between 3840x1080 and 5120x2560 (what tizax3d put out) is night and day. Upgrading the resolution will benefit HMD with lower resolution too since when viewing VR we are always zoomed in. Any HMD with >1080×1200 resolution per eye will see improvement if video was in 5k. Yes, I know it will take a bit longer to render but it is better to have quality over quantity. Also idk if you are already doing this but you can shave time off rendering by 40-50% in blender with control+B border render then stitching all the images using photoshop automate batch before converting image sequence to video.

I will look into it but Taz has only put out 4 VR videos per year VS my 96-100 videos per year to which he can't and does not render himself. I don't believe in taking away from the current patreons and making a sacrifice. I do however believe in pushing forward If i can create high resolution videos without taking away from patreons then great. As i say i will look into it.
