Okay so I always wanna ask this with you guys' downloads, and I dunno maybe I did already, BUT at this point I kinda don't bother looking here unless I'm really interested because half the video files you link to show up as being rendered with the camera(s) turned 90° to the side, and I have no idea how you upload broken files all the time. I've run into these countless times. Sometimes a 4K Mega link is fine, but for example the very first link in this post shows me a strange mis-rendered file. How??

i dont quite get what you mean, are you trying to watch the files via mega steam? as that wont work. Or are you referring to the angle. we set the direction of the camera to a comfort angle vs realistic. but this can be adjusted via the tilt function. Or are you just not setting you VR Player correctly to 180_LR as there are many settings that you can set it to that will make it look werid. I dont think there is anything wrong with the file as we have quite a few 1000s people download the files and ive not had any other complaints so i doubt its the file, as i get bombarded with dms if a file is broken so i sure know about it if i fuck up.

Hmm, okay, I checked again. Google Drive must have a real dumb video player, I guess. Because in there apparently it stretches it to be 180 or 360 and only shows me the center and I can't drag it around or anything... And as it turns out VLC also does this?... Really didn't know that about VLC. Turns out I can drag the view around in VLC, it's just weird since there are no options to even change this mode in the menues :/ I could've srsly **sworn** I have seen files play weirdly like this while inside my Quest with the correct modes applied, and within DeoVR too and not just its browser. But right now it looks like I'm the ass here, my bad. Really sorry, I was so convinced there was something wrong, lmao. Carry on then, sorry again :')

so i think this is mostly due to most players are just not really designed for VR viewing. googledrive, mega, etc. You really wanna watch these in a vr player and even then you need to make sure its set right. you can drag an view it in stuff like windows media player if you hit the 360 button. But its not really designed for them. you will notice most our videos have 180_LR at the end. This sometimes with VR players auto sets the correct settings. But not always so if it ever looks werid in VR chances its just on the wrong setting. As their is quite a few types.

I was going to say, if you don't have a VR headset and can only play on PC then you're better off using Windows Movie & TV app if you're on Windows but then you mentioned having a quest so I was like, hmm... Anyway, hopefully it hasn't been keeping you away for too long, though it sounds like it could be...

i'm also on quest 2 using firefox reality. Mega says transfer limit exceeded. Google looks all messed up both in non vr and 180/360/and sidebyside modes. I don't know much about technical stuff. When you say vr player, what do you mean? I have only been able to watch a few minutes in mega before transfer limit. i'll try oculus browser, but i'd rather avoid that. Thanks!

you need to download the video. as well as download a vr video player software. then play the video hooked up to your VR with the vr player software ^_^. streaming isnt really recommended as it does not work.
