Also I think that Quinn doesnt really value their creators and much as they should not because they dont care, but because its ran as a business, and businesses prioritize profit, so usually people who dont pull as much on the app get paid less than the big names, and while it does make sense, sometimes people need a little push that the app doesnt really give you and i think its unfair how its mostly the men who get all the adverstisement done for them. also overheard audios work by literally pressing record and having sex, just that. and its awesome to have someone who works with mental health to be listening to me! I hope the whole VA relationship thing wasnt too much of a personal tackle, i dont mean to put anyone in line or be mean when i say those things, its just literally how I think it works best, but i can always be wrong and thats why i want to have discussions more often with you guys!

A Japanese yogurt parfait is very nice. It's a luxurious dessert there. Oh man I didn't realize that mostly men get the advertisement done for them. Yeah I can see how that can be unfair. Kinda ironic how they advertise themselves as an app that's created by women for the world but advertise mostly the male creators. But I guess thats the marketing tactic they use to cater to their primary demographic, which is probably female listeners. Glad to be here! I am new here and so far really enjoying my time browsing through your content on Patreon. I personally don't think it was mean or offensive when you said those things bc I agree with you. I think that if someone does take it personally, it probably means it's triggering something within them that they need to reflect more/work on. But yeah you're right. People start that conversation with VAs bc they're allured by the content they make. Sex is a vulnerable thing and literally changes the chemical makeup of the brain, so it can be extremely easy to be entranced. I think the one factor in VA/listener dynamic that makes it diff from visual pornstar/ viewer dynamic is not being able to see the person behind the voice. The mystery plays a huge part of the allure and can take the imagination too far. I think it's really interesting to hear the VAs perspective on things bc as listeners, we are only hearing moans and the universe that the VAs create. So hearing your perspective allows us to humanize the people behind the voices. I also hear you when you mentioned that you deleted the discord bc it would've fucked with your ego. It takes a lot to recognize that within yourself and be present with your listeners. Not many can sit there and say "this might affect me negatively in the long run. I need to cut it out of my life". You've set that boundary not only for yourself but for the sake of your listeners' well being! Shows how emotionally aware and caring you are. So, really, thank you for the gentle reminder. I truly meant it when I said it 🫶

Definitely late to the game oops but finally gave this a listen and I just wanted to say that I really appreciate the boundaries that you’re setting with your listeners. After seeing how many Quinn VAs turned out to be creeps and one I used to listen to for sure exploiting how parasocial their fans are, I really respect that you chose to shut down the discord server to maintain some level of distance/ separation between you as a person vs creator. Your content remains 🔥 but it is pretty much fantasy and you are an ✨ACTEUR✨ and I’m glad that you talked about what it’s like from a VA’s perspective re: listeners/fans basically wanting more. while I did enjoy interacting directly with you guys, I think I haven’t cracked how to make a space like that function how I’d like it to, I think discord servers or community spaces for creators in general have their place, I know a lot of people befriended each other and talking about differing topics because it’s easy to find like minded people in that kind of server, but it’s hard to make people join this kind of server because they want to interact with the community and not because they want to slide in a creators DMs! Maybe one day ill try it again, when and if I find a suitable way to do it so as to not promote that kind of behavior but also create a certain community environment

I’m new to audio content, which explains why I’m only now discovering this two-year-old post. I originally searched for "BloomingVA AMA" and stumbled upon a site that had your AMA, noting it was "originally from Patreon." That moment led me to Patreon itself, where I became a member — for the one and only Bloom🌸. Could I have accessed it elsewhere without paying? Yes. But I’ve always been supportive of artists I care about. Isn't Bloom worth supporting? And I’m so glad I did, especially after hearing about the immense time and effort you pour into making your contents. I so relate to that level of high standards, but remember: Don’t be too hard on yourself! You can’t be kind to others without being KIND TO YOURSELF first! I listened to the 2024 AMA first, which was not as light hearted as this one. So, I finished this one more quickly and with more ease. It almost felt like a mini time travel experience —listening to both versions of you, from 2023 and 2024. In 2023, you announced the names of those asking questions (while apologizing for any name mispronunciations), which I found super sweet 💚 You also thanked each question at the end of your responses💚. That habit disappeared in 2024, and it saddened me a bit — not because I doubted your gratitude, but because it felt like a reflection of how tired and emotionally drained you were. It seemed like you didn’t have the extra energy to focus on others’ feelings the way you once did (which is completely understandable!!!). I had this AMA playing again as background noise 🙈. I find you fascinating (in a non-parasocial way!), because we're different in gender and race and so many other things! You spent some time discussing the relationship between VAs and their listeners. I agreed with you on many points and could tell you spoke from an honest and caring heart. That said, I’d like to respectfully disagree on a few things: 1. *The idea that some VAs are "desperate". They made up how sexy they are. They are "touch-starved", "basement-dwelling losers"* Labeling them as "losers" feels unfair. Desperation, lack of social interaction, or living in a basement doesn’t make someone lesser. I’m none of those things, but not because I’m "better" — just luckier. To me, there are no winners or losers, only different circumstances. That said, I get your point! 2. *The way some VAs laughed at or led on parasocial fans* Some listeners have been mocked for confessing love to VAs, being parasocial, or spending money they don’t have. While it’s true that falling for a VA’s persona can be unrealistic, and excessive spending is risky, I think the real issue lies with VAs who exploit or ridicule these listeners. If the listener's actions come from a place of kindness and they harm no one, they deserve kindness in return. If I had the chance to meet them, I’d encourage them to surround themselves with loving, kind people. It's okay to be drawn to someone and even to face rejection, but it's also a great opportunity for introspection — “What is it about this person/persona that satisfies so much within me? How can I find that fulfillment in a healthier, more grounded way?" With all that being said, thank you so much for sharing your insights with us—it was truly kind of you. 💚💚💚
