Hey VIP Primos!

It's time for another favorite around here, Run BTS! Ep 66. Today we begin a 2 part episode with BTS in the Comic Book Cafe Part 1. Also, peep the cool new shirts! 😍

Today the guys are hanging out at a Comic Book Cafe. The objective is to complete a mission using the comics. If they are successful they are rewarded with a snack! That's our kind of reward!

I think this is one of the few Run BTS episodes I haven’t watched in its entirety. It’s not one I really like. I tried to watch it before but couldn’t get into it. Maybe I’ll enjoy it more seeing ya react to it😂

oh gee i’m a huge anime nerd as much as i love BTS, so this episode was so fun to watch. i don’t know why it’s fun watching them discuss other media, like Slam dunk and 20th century boys are one of my fav mangas and i was like hmm.. Namjoon would had definitely read 20th century boys, that’s so him. 😂 i knew every reference, and it’s easy to miss tho, some of the answers were very vague. poor hobi not having any anime knowledge 💕

Daniel the Ramen you were talking about is called jjajjangmyeon which is made with a blackbean sauce with chopped meat and veg, it's also commonly paired with a yellow pickled radish. They mentioned it in this episode of run

This is one of those run bts in which they talk so fast and all at once, the subtitles go insane, you guys did a great job not getting too overwhelmed! Honestly, we are getting into the territory where most reactors give up on run bts bc it's so many episodes. From now on, ppl like me saw those next episodes being reacted to only rarely, if never at all, which is too bad bc we are getting to really really good ones, so i'm having a blast!! The dark ramyeon you were talking about is Jjajangmyeon. It's a black bean sauce and it's mixed with diced pork and vegetables. It's more sweet/savory than spicy

I think an octopus snack you may like is a Japanese dumpling called "takoyaki". It is so good and you can hardly taste the octopus inside. Also, since you love mangoes, if you every come to Vegas, there's a new place here called Mango Mango Dessert. They have all sorts of mango-based desserts and its so good!!

thanks for the reaction! to be honest, when i watched Run on my own at first, i had to fast forward and then skip this and the next episode. i didn't understand ANY of the references or games. its fun to watch their faces as they get all animated debating things but only to an extent, lol. Well done powering through!

Seeing as korea is surrounded by water on 3 sides it makes a lot of sense that sea food like octopus, mussels, fish etc are very common and also very fresh there

People who are saying these ep are boring -shock me they are one of my favs as an anime fan and even if you don’t know all the anime mentioned tbh any bts run where the members are very animated will be a very fun episode

So comic books/ Manga culture are very much integrated into Korea soo even people who don’t read them will know names and lines cause they are referenced soo much in the movies or dramas or by tv personalities and sports people so like game of thrones the catchphrase winter is coming , the north remembers these mangas have catchphrases and the staff was asking them these catchphrases so it’s easy to guess like the staff saying the north and then automatically bts says remembers but the manga lines are longer than the game of thrones examples and just by the presence of soooo many manga cafés where you eat and read mangas all over Korea since early 2000s shows how big manga culture is in Korea

So anything with a Tteok means it has rice skewers , and jjigae- means stew so like kimchijjigae , buddhejigae so anytime the word comes up you can think of it as a stew dish and Guk/gguk means soups

I'm one of the few who loves mint choco or mintcho as Koreans call it. Idk but I never once associated it with toothpaste 😁, I guess it's because I really just love both chocolate and minty candies that it's what I'm focused on.

Hey Daniel, I would like to encourage you all NOT to watch yourself reacting to the Flying Yoga video. I think that is a fun concept that you could definitely do for something like Butter or Dynamite or one of your earlier glimpses of BTS. BUT since Abigail is so looking forward to seeing it again (and I am too!) if you guys react to your own reaction you're going to be distracted by reacting to yourselves and won't enjoy the episode itself as much. I have watched the Flying Yoga episode at least 3 times now, and every. single. time. I end up LOLing--and that is really rare for me. There is something about that episode that is truly funny and I want you guys to get to enjoy that again! So please consider saving the reaction to your reaction concept for something else--and just relive the moment itself, for all our greater enjoyment. : )
