YEEEEES 👏

Anna Marie Aguirre

Let me just say. That FACE OFF movie is still one of my favorites! 😂

Marcy Turney

lol don’t worry I’m old too! Face off was a great movie!!

Kyuu Koomi

Please consider to watch Rebirth and Slow Dance live performance ☺️

Elhana Bamr

Reading the lyrics again, remind me to what happen to jimin about the 'money'

민

Face-off deserved an mv 😔 I hope when you get to FACE, you listen to the full album again because some of the songs lead into each other and the whole album is a story it's just a better listen to hear all the tracks together instead of only the ones you haven't heard. I hope you do this with all the solo albums.

Ashlee

The entire face album is so incredible 🔥🔥🔥 also with that recent news about the comedian entertainer who borrowed a large sum of money from Jimin and gambled it all away,, the beginning of this song now makes SO much sense :(

Chrissy

The beginning part that kind of sounds like carnival music is something Jimin himself came up with actually. He started doing it on the spot in the studio and said he and his friends used to play that kind of sound a lot when he was younger. Pdogg immediately was like "that sounds good let's do it" 😭. Once you guys get to his documentary you'll see he created most of the sounds and beats from every song on FACE! I'm glad you liked this song hehe there's a lot of anger in it and he definitely made sure it was heard, even rapped to show it lol. The whole album is so amazing

Anna Marie Aguirre

Yeah I just read an article about that too. 100 million won is no joke.

Stephanie O.

Probably my favorite track from the album!

mimicha122

Thank you for the reaction CCW My favourite songs from the Face album are Face-off and Alone I listen to them every day 💜💜💜💜💜💜

KimSeok2ParkMinjeon⁷99

Hi CCW FAMILY 💜💜 Face off deserves an MV 😭I thought you would remember SMG with the beginning 😂 Ps:D-1 till Hobi is home 💃💃

boraveena

Omg, 1997 I was in high school... face off was good thoo...

Linda Roddy

Thoroughly enjoyed the reaction. Letter is my favorite song from the album. Probably because it's so incredibly beautiful. It was hard to hear Jimin's struggles thru Face, but thankfully the process helped him move on from those struggles.

⋆ ✴︎ ｡⋆

like with all of the songs on face, in face-off jimin is singing about his relationship with himself. the entire album is focused on self-reflection. so it’s not necessarily about a ‘break up’ or anything like that. face-off in particular is jimin expressing frustration/anger at himself

Laura

Love the reaction!!!!💜💜 The whole album it's amazing but my favorite song is 'Alone'. I loooove that song 💜💜

Ceejayhey

For the intro, Jimin was goofing around on the keyboard and they decided to keep it for the song lol…It’s a very interesting decision too; the intro feels very playful, almost childlike and innocent, until it cuts off and the vibe switches to something that’s more raw, exposed, and hurt. I love this song. It’s one of my favorites on FACE. It always makes my heart ache for Jimin, though. During FACE promo he had opened up a bit about his struggles with depression during the first couple of years of the pandemic and also mentioned that he was drinking a lot more during that time. He has spoken about how his friends were concerned for him and that after playing the album for his father, his dad cried bc he didn’t know Jimin was struggling so much. During promos, he also mentioned he experienced a betrayal from a friend at some point and we recently learned that a friend of his scammed him out of $74k (USD). Whether or not that’s the betrayal he was speaking of or if that was a separate betrayal he faced, we don’t know. But I will say Jimin is such a kind and empathetic soul and unfortunately sometimes the wrong ppl will come and take advantage of that. He deserves all the good in the world. I find MUSE is FACE’s more optimistic counterpart. You can tell he’s healed a lot. I still think I favor FACE tho! 💛

Any

Love thiss!!! 💜 Alone is my favorite song, then Like crazy and this one. Thank u, CCW! 💜

ada

I hope u get to watch the production diary on this album which goes down the details of how the songs in the album came to be. It’s pretty amazing- he’s w Pdogg & 2 other producers here. He’s also talked about this ep is best to listen in order bec it tells his story of how he was in this dark period & how he overcame it. I cried when I listened to this album- u could almost picture what he went through.

Maya

Alone is good good..I mean who am I kidding..im biased..i love them all haha

Maya

Face off movie was good..our age is showing

Dani

I rarely listen to this song since it’s not my vibe. Good reaction tho ☺️

1osaki

the face off movie jokes & the jimin funko falling killed me🤣🤣

sage ☉ ⊖ ⊜

you all had me laughing so much this reaction! yay i love jms face album <3

Anija

This is my favorite song off the album. Jimin said stop mf playing with him and l love it 🔥😩

Sarah

I hope you guys eventually react to jimin’s Alone😍 it’s such an emotional song

PrettyJumpTree

Daniel killed me with the Face Off comment. 🤣

Unamused

Face off is so underrated and is neck and neck with like crazy for me

Hopex25

I love face off sm, love how jimin sounds so raw and angry 😭

Chloe

My 4 year old loves this song probably due to the intro. The first time he asked me to play it in the car, he sang the first line with a robotic voice to mimic Jm's it was hilarious

Maeee

Not Y'all droppin Jimin on his bday

az

Thank you so much for this reaction ! This song is my fav from the album tbh. I know that you guys already have a lot of suggestions and a packed schedule, but if in the future you have a free (and long lol) slot, I think you will really enjoy Jimin's production diary. It's a documentary about the production process of the face album, and it's one of the most intimate documentaries that I saw so far. It's really centered on how he made his album with his small team, and the whole time I was watching it I was thinking " CCW would really enjoy this " haha ! Anyway, have a great day guys :)

Alice Smith

So basically there is one song on the face album they haven't heard ...Alone and the interlude which is not really a song..so how are they going to react to this solo album when they've heard almost all of it just like Tae's they have heard all of his...I'm just wondering. I guess they can react to the many solo songs that Jimin and Tae have made over the years they haven't heard.

Natalie Quarrell

The sample at the beginning is the Flea Waltz - Flohwalzer. It wasn’t made by Jimin. Just wanted to clear that up as it was stated he made it himself.

Alice Smith

I saw an interveiw with Jimin saying his father told him he cried when he heard Face because he didn't know he was going through all the pain at the time.

Shania

I know that when yall do album reviews that you doing listen to the songs that you've already heard. But in the case of FACE whether it's on or off camera, please listen to it in order. It tells a story and the songs lead into each other.

Monikmi

My favourite song from Face is Alone and Face-off is a close second 😊

Rokm_

My favorite song from Face is the one y’all haven’t heard yet Alone. But Face off comes pretty close too. Face and Muse are so different yet amazing albums. Thanks for the reaction.

Tahani Swoon

i hope that when you are reacting to his albums that you listen to the songs in the order as he worked really hard to create a storyline that follows :)

Kearyce Moore

Became my favorite song off the album after it came out too😊

Enatu T

FACE is such a masterpiece. Every song on this album is great. My fav though is Alone. If you ever do an Album review for Face pls listen to it in order from start to finish.

chimm

i was 6 when that Face-Off movie was released and i still remember watching it with my parents in VHS lol! i feel sooo old 🥴

Makara

I suggested in one of the videos for you to watch Jimin's Production Diary where you get to see how each song was produced in the Face album. Jimin was heavily involved in the production of each song from melody to songwriting. And the first music you heard it was not played by V but by Jimin himself.

chimm

Like Crazy was an instant fave when Face was released because i too love the 80s vibe.. but the more i listened to the album, Alone eventually topped the list! it just felt so raw! 🤧 cant wait for you to listen to it!

ashley

Why would they watch that when they haven’t even reacted to FACE yet….it will make sense to watch his documentary AFTER they react to his first album

Makara

That's why I think this birthday marathon is a perfect time to listen to Face-Off and Alone (the two songs they haven't heard) and then watch the production diary.

Mya Papaya

Hope you guys react to Alone next!!!

Kkatherine.97

The first few lines of the song sound like it’s about that gambler dude that asked him for money🤔I’m not sure though

nina

i’m loving all this love for alone cuz since day one like crazy and alone were THE tracks for me from face!! alone often got overlooked in favor of face-off but real ones know!! it’s a great album top to bottom regardless!! i can’t wait to see y’all react to alone and other face related content!! 💜

Christie Temple

Alone!! Top tier - my favorite on that album.

Kkatherine.97

Yes, you’re right he is talking about himself but I wonder if it’s regarding the situation with the dude.

Dthar

they’re listening to the solo albums in order tho they can’t just jump to Face when they haven’t started the rest yet

Dthar

😂😂😂😂how rudeeee

smilehoyaaaaaa💜

I think they go based on the requests and they pick the videos they find interesting. The problem is that video is longer than 30 minutes so it can't be requested. Unless they choose it for CCW picks or CCW birthday or something like that.

Dreamer

I think you guys will enjoy the documentary to watch Jimin creat such amazing songs from scratch and all by himself with his trusted producers. No one can say Jimin doesn't have talent when every song came out of him.

Nie

It isn't.

⋆ ✴︎ ｡⋆

he’s confronting /himself/ in the lyrics. he’s singing about being angry/frustrated at himself. there’s no ‘person 2’. think about it like he’s singing this song to his reflection in a mirror.

Laura Hardie

Alone is probs my favourite from the FACE album.

Carms

You should watch Jimin's Production Diary and you will be amazed how much he's involved in producing and writing the album.

Makara

I meant they listened to face off today and might as well do alone since it’s the only song left in the album they haven’t listened it. Usually when they do album review, they have heard most of the songs already.

Scott Aubichon

J-Hope mentions the movie Face/Off in his lyrics in IDOL

Sar

the face album is one of my faves in general. alone and like crazy are my favorite, this album really gets jimins feelings out there and i love that. the production diary for this is amazing as well, hopefully u react one day

moonbeamss_⁷

I can't wait until you guys get to his production diary documentary. I know you guys will love it and you really get to see how creative Jimin himself is. He came up with such great melodies and ideas for this album

Kkatherine.97

I get that he’s singing about himself. Saying he blames himself, calling himself a fool. He also mentions that “trusting a person is the start of a terrible nightmare.” He is talking about someone else here not himself. Like he’s had an experience that made him believe trusting someone is a nightmare. That’s why I was wondering if he was talking about that situation with the guy. Of course, we don’t know exactly unless Jimin himself tells us directly but this is what I came to think.

Seneca

V did play that same song in In the Soop! It's a common song, Daniel said he used to play it a lot on the piano as a kid too. So he was just referencing that In the Soop moment.

Seneca

Daniel's memory is insane as always!! Can't believe he remembered V played this same piano tune in ITS.

liz

absolutely looovviiinngggg all the praise 'alone' is getting because it's definitely one of my favorites on the album! & thank you for another reaction! as others have mentioned, i really look forward to your reaction to jimin's production diary documentary where we get such great insight into his creative process. i feel like i nerd out watching them make music (i love love love it so much) and i want to nerd out with you guys :') anyway, thanks again for your hard work!

shahad hasan

It's jimin playing not v and he comes out with this melody if you saw his production dairy you will know that jimin did involve in every details for his 2 albums in music in melody and in writing the lyrics too I love this song it's amazing

Lizzie

The conversation at the beginning made me laugh quite a lot 🤣

Lizzie

A little tip, I would avoid lyric videos by Jaeguchi in the future. They are one of those channels that likes "to be first" to get their lyric video up after a song or album is released and thus their translations are often very lacking or just plain wrong. Jaeguchi and Lemoring are two of the biggest accounts that do this. I personally recommend aftaehyung, zaty farhani (though even they sometimes are guilty of getting things out too quickly)...there was another channel that I've always loved but I can't for the life of me remember the name so if I remember, I'll come back and edit this comment. 😅

Alice Smith

They only have to react to one more song why have a album reaction when they've heard them all except Alone.

leat

this is a little backstory of the possible friend he is talking about in this song. A few days a ago a korean comedian was arrest for illegal gambling in korea and it was said that he borrow money from many celebrities incl Jimin. 70k i think it was. They media said he borrowed money from jimin in 2022 maybe some time before. BTS has their first concert since pandemic in nov 2021 and after that they went on an extended vacation of 3 months. However I remember another news story about Jimin in dec who mentioned that the police was trying to take jimins appartement while he was in LA with BTS, because he forgot to pay his taxes. So if this fried is the same man it makes since. because the article also mentioned that Hybe was confirming that he was experiencing financial issues because of this. So maybe he didn´t forget to pay his taxes maybe he just couldn´t. remember BTS had been unable to have a concert for 2 years and didn´t receive that much income at the time. that is just what i am thinking. of cores they still earned a lot but maybe not as much as they were used to. and the year before they all bought an expensive apartment at around 5 mil so it could have been the last money he had. Jimin also mentioned that he felt lost during that time and during their 2022 concert in las vegas he talked to the members about his feelings and they suggested he wrote a song about it. and that is how Face was created. So what if that is the same man in the lyric, he did mention "Gave you all the money, gave you all the heart" the other victim was also Jimin's closest friend besides from bts. so it makes since. Jimin even said to the comedian that if he could not pay him back in 10 days as agreed upon, he could just pay him back in 10 years. this was he told the police when he was arrested. So jimin knew he was not able to pay him back after the 10 days had past, so he extended his kindness. this man is the sweetest man alive but also TO good for his own good.

D

Caught up with Face off and Promise, thank you!💜 Heard the pan ( left to right for me) for the first time in Promise. Most of Face has the gritty tone, so different from Muse although he worked on them one after the other. Remember the spoiler in Jimin's Suchwita where Suga kept saying "this album", hinting that there is another one? Your Jimin falling off reminded me of him falling off chairs 😄

Vanessa Garcia

Alone has to be my number one from his face album. Ofc at first like crazy had my heart . But Alone slowly crept up into the number one spot and it is for sure my favorite from this album

fofo

Yes. We need to avoid these channels who, among other things, add their own soundtrack at the end in order to monetize BTS lyric videos. I recommend Dial 6137 as an alternative, like a couple of ARMYs have done. It’s not monetized and, from what I’ve seen, the translations are obtained from different sources including doolset.

SND

My favorite songs on Face are Set Me Free Pt.2 and Alone. Although I'm enjoying your Jimin content, I really want you guys to watch Jimin, the songwriter, as he makes his music. There was a video of his documentary that someone purchased and shared for free. He even filmed a short documentary vlog of this album. I'm hoping there is a more extended version. Maybe someday you will.

Ashleyder

Face Off is actually one of my favorite songs on the Face album. Possibly my number one favorite.

mads

alone is my favorite song from face! 😌

Sugareul

I doubt Jimin was struggling with money and have the remaining money to someone else…

DJ4u

Don't feel too old Daniel. I met/talk with John Travolta when he was on the show Welcome Back Kotter. I was fortunate to meet a lot of celebrities in the 70s & 80s. My younger family & friends go "who??" when I tell them stories about it.

LINDSEY WARD

This is my favorite song off the album

Rachel Hernandez

This one is one of my faves!!!! I feel it's slightly underrated, this and alone are freakin masterpieces!

Lindy

This song definitely has a dark and kind of chill vibe to it. What a different voice, full of strength. I love that seemingly impossible balance between fragility and power, which conveys so many emotions.
