Hey Primos!

Good Morning and welcome back to another episode of Beyond The Star Ep 4, Disconnected. Ep 3 left us seeing the guys breaking into the award winner circle and the western culture. But given all their popularity we see the guys still feeling alone. This show has quickly climbed to the top of our list given the guys vulnerability. It's been a couple weeks since our last episode but we were able to squeeze in the concert in between which gave us some good context going into this episode.

Today's episode is just wow! The pandemic hit's and everything the guys know is put to a halt. Amazing how even during a pandemic they are so worried about their Army and how this effected their fans yet pull off an epic concert! And let's not even get started on the Grammys. 🤣

Spoiler, we got a sneak peak at next weeks episode and see a a major concert happening in the back 😱. Can't wait!

Scammys fr cuz they only nominate BTS to get an audience. BTS is deserving of multiple Grammy awards, but the Grammy’s don’t deserve BTS. It’s all media play, connections and networking, unfortunately.

after the concerts, musters and your other scheduled chronological content, maybe you can start including the "Memories of 20xx" annual releases. tons of behinds! you can split it in multiple parts too! MOTS ONE also has a behind in the DVD/BR release, but for sure you can find it from Armys online too!

I believe they time-skipped for the clip of Jimin in quarantine. He had the virus then. Oh and the single announcement for Dynamite was during the period Yoongi did a "radio" show (Weverse audio only live series) that he did during that time

Once they get to Covid in the timeline, they kind of skip around a lot with some of the scenes. They’re still, narratively, following the big events, but some of the in between scenes are all over the place. I think that Jimin quarantine scene was actually from December 2021. The members just had their 4 concerts at So-Fi Stadium in LA and then afterwards they were taking a break so they returned to Korea at different times. Jin, Jungkook, and Jimin were the first to return. During that period, people returning to Korea were required to quarantine for 14 days I believe. If I remember correctly, RM was visiting museums across the U.S. and was set to return to Korea in a few days (from the date of his phone call with Jimin), that’s why he said it’d be his turn soon.

The editing is a bit off in these episodes. Just remember that SK was very strict with its laws as compared to the rest of the world. So whenever they traveled or felt like they were coming down with something or anything they had to self quarantine. For eg. They had PTD concerts in US when the laws were a little relaxed but then when they returned back to Korea they had to self quarantine because SK was still under strict lock down

Grammy is just a pool of people trying to stroke each other's ego by paying each other & doing favours. Nothing more than that And we all are very well aware how these people think about POC artists coming in & overpowering their own artists. The way billboard changes it's rules again & again to favour it's artists is blatantly obvious

i know you guys must have a billion things on your bts to-watch spreadsheet but if you guys specifically wanted to watch behind the scenes of mots on:e, they did release a whole dvd for it. it’s similar to the concert documentaries like burn the stage, bring the soul & break the silence except those are documentary-style and they follow them even at hotels and airplanes etc, while the mots on:e dvd is divided into sections specific to each process of the concert, so there’s: - merch/poster making film (13.5 mins) => shooting photos that will go on the merch and posters distributed for that concert - vcr making film (17 mins) => behind the scenes of filming the vcrs they play while they change outfits backstage - practice/rehearsal making film (22 mins practice and 33 mins rehearsal) => practicing at several dance practice rooms - d-day making film (31 mins) => behind the scenes of the day of the concert, including dress rehearsals and backstage content during the concert itself link: https://3cmgoogie.tumblr.com/dvd-motsone - includes the full concert (d1 and d2) as well as each member’s solo stage - scroll all the way down to the last 5 for the behind the scenes contents *note1: everything includes content from day 1 and 2 of the concert* *note2: there is also a ptd dvd that follows them behind the scenes of the nov-dec 2021 la shows and april 2022 vegas shows* *note3: behind the scenes of ytc busan as far as i know is only a bts episode on bangtantv youtube channel* of course i am veryyyy excited for you guys to watch ptd and ytc and get to them (they might be my fav concerts and have my fav behind the scenes) before the rest of the tannies are back but the behind the scenes parts of the mots on:e dvd is a little less than 2 hours long which could be considered a shorter concert so…. you know.. if you guys wanna watch that instead of a concert………. 🤭

also i don’t know how much you (both ccw and the primos) care about the vcrs but everyone’s been suggesting the ptd la show on disney+ (day 2!) and i would just like to say there are pros and cons to that. PROS: - includes eng subs for each song which i know you guys appreciate (especially summer haha) - follows them backstage during the in-betweens when they change outfits (although not that huge of a pro which i’ll explain in the cons section) CONS: - since they do show the members backstage, you won’t get to watch the vcrs that play. and since this would be your first ptd show i would assume you guys would want to watch it how it was intended and how everyone else in all the shows experienced it (aka seeing the vcrs instead of seeing the members change fits) - in addition, the “backstage” content is not really in-depth either. just a bunch of cinematic slomo shots of the members running backstage and changing. they don’t really talk about their feelings etc because duh they’re in the middle of a concert and they’re in a rush to change lol. so there’s not really any commentary - ptd la disney+ shows day 2, not day 4 lmao => only adding this con based on knowing you guys and also seeing everyone else’s suggestions of wanting you to watch day 4 => although imo day 2 still had an amazing guest but i do think you guys would love day 4’s guest more (hopefully no one has spoiled it yet) PERSONAL OPINIONS: of course my say doesn’t have much weight if any at all but personally i agree with everyone saying PTD LA DAY 4 not only because i know you’ll love the guest but also because i think there’s a small special event for one of the members (i don’t remember much bc the ptd la dates are so close together so u guys can correct me if i’m wrong). alsoooo it’s the last day of their first chunk of shows back in front of armys!!!! their first ever PTD concert was online in oct 2021 but filmed at seoul olympic stadium without an audience so PTD LA was their first in-person concert for the first time since LYSY tour. so, if anything, they more than likely have a lot to say in their ments either on the FIRST day to talk about how much they’ve missed armys and all the preparations they’ve done OR on the LAST day to talk about how it felt to spend 4 days with armys for the first time in almost 2 years after being separated for so long and doing online concerts. either way i’m just excited to watch this era of concert with you guys <3

we might start seeing the POC treatment in this sense ease up a bit as more and more Kpop/Asian (solo) artists are hiring western PR agents and producers, to handle their western exposure. they are some politicking that happens in the western (more in the American) side of the business so having someone that not only knows their way around but knows/have worked with the "powers that be" is a great advantage. I know ARMY (in general) don't like the Scooter association but that guy is a "player" in that side of the business. this is the reason why JK worked mostly with western producers for his debut album and Hobi spending a good amount of time in LA after discharge (and ahead of his tour). this is why even to this day, BTS' rise to global stardom is a phenomenon - they did it without that kind of "help" from the western music industry

This really brings back the pandemic years! PTD was Oct 2021 to April 2022 and Cusan Bonsert :) was in October 2022. I hope Bon Voyage really happens in 2025. I'll be super happy for PTD next week but really wish for Run BTS as well.

RM and the maknae line waiting for the grammy nominations is a classic!! It goes well with the in the soop episode when RM goes outside to read and Jungkook runs by singing and then those three are on the trampoline and poor RM's quiet is over. aahhh, fun times.

True! Although, I would say for concerts specifically, it’s best to watch the behind the scenes from concert DVD’s since Memories usually don’t focus much on concerts. Also, they could always check the Bangtan Bombs/Episodes which also have some behind the scenes too on BTS’s yt channel.

Jimin cleaning his house was when he came back from the LA PTD concerts and had to quarantine for two weeks. So December 2021. RM was still in America which is why he says on the phone " I will have to do it too" The timelines are bouncing around a bit because Hobi and JK drinking champagne look to be late 2020 or early 2021.

no of course and we can see from the behind on the ptd dvd how much they enjoyed having the day 2 guest too. but i feel like that goes for most if not all the guests they bring out, otherwise they wouldn’t bring them out yk. i just mentioned the d4 guest specifically bc i saw way more people recommending d4 for the guest compared to people recommending d2 which was mainly recommended not for the guest but bc it’s on disney+ and shows backstage content :)

for more behind the scenes that go beyond concerts (like behind mvs, photoshoots, award shows, promotions and sooooo much more), there’s the MEMORIES dvds. sometimes, behind the scenes content is chopped up and uploaded on the bangtantv channel but the ones on memories dvds are longer and have more context/details! i was recently binging some of your old reactions and you guys saw a behind from a concert rehearsal and were wondering where you could watch more of those so i hope you get to watch the concert dvds (as in the behind, which is different from the concert itself) and memories dvds one day too :)

The Grammy's have been highly criticized as they have invited artists with the most popular songs for that particular year, nominate the artist and have them perform only for said artist not to win anything. It happened to Ariana Grande, The Weekend and BTS. The Weekend have had this happen multiple times and actually protested against the Grammy's and only just this previous Grammy awards got on better terms with them. I don't now how on earth Rain on me by Gaga and Ariana won ahead of Dynamite.

If you watch other behind the scenes at concerts/performances they do sometimes have a humidifier around just to help support their voice/keep it strong. And they often have staff massaging them. They dont just do this because of sickness or illness.

i attended the PTDLA concert and let me just say, the tears never stopped. i have yet to experience such a euphoric moment like then and i know i will the moment they return 💜

There are behind the scenes for MOTS ON:E in the DVD. PTD LA was in Nov-Dec 2021. (I was there for D1 and D2!) Jimin was quarantined for 2 weeks after PTD LA, back then Korea demanded all people coming into the country to quarantine for 2 weeks regardless of them being sick or not.

If you guys are going to see PTD, please, watch the PTD in Las Vegas DAY 02 (it is PTD’s last concert!). On the Weverse app you can watch the full concert and behind the scenes videos, rehearsal and etc… it is paid content, but it’s worth it! 💜💜🥹

I've always wondered why no_one really reacts to the BTS made Behind the Scenes episodes for like EVERY event/performance they've ever done on BANGTANTV. Must be a huge copyright risk? Those episodes are THE BEST AND they come FROM BTS directly!! Love for CCW to see some of those.... like BTS episode going to AMAS, or BTS episode for any of the MV's.... tv performances... behind the scenes (BANGTANTV episodes) of Jimmy Fallon are awesom!

Kkul fm is honey fm, yoongi used to do a live audio only lil radio show occasionally on vlive, just a lil somethin somethin for the fans, and i think they picked it back up a few times during quarantine

I think you should keep in mind that sometimes the doc jumps time quite a bit in the images. They showed Jimin quarantined and then JK and Hobi drinking together was after their first Grammy loss so it's bits and pieces of 2020 and 2021.💜

I have the DVD of MOTS ON:E it does have a behind the scene when it comes to them rehearsing for the concerts, and some extra footage, as well as the performances for both days (I believe). It’s been a while since I’ve watched; so I am not 100% positive of all the footage and behind scenes that are included on it. But I’ve seen that ARMY uploaded into different websites so you can enjoy and watch it.🤗

I could understand them not winning a Grammy for Dynamite but Butter was another story. It was the song of the summer!! It was #1 for like 10 weeks until PTD unseated it for one week and then Butter took it back. Scammys used them for thet epic performance on the show and made it seem like they were going to win until surprise surprise, Doja Cat won. Loved her songs but Butter did better in the charts and it was clear to everyone. Scammies did them dirty.
