Hey Everyone!

Welcome back! TODAY we are checking out MAMA 2019. It's been awhile since we checked out a Korean award show, but after watching some American performances a couple weeks ago we knew we needed to jump back into them and got some great recommendations from you guys. We are going to check these performances out and then right into some behind the scenes so let's jump in!

This was more like a concert than an award show! We are going to need the AMA's and the Grammy's to step it up. After this we are feeling tired for them 😰, what amazing performances!! And so great to see them together in the height of their careers. We are ready for them come back and make their mark again in 2026!

See you in the comments.

Gabriel’s face on the thumbnail 😂😭 he is so on brand himself.

Riane Kim

Abby, I can’t tell if that’s a Winter Wonderland Alani or the Cherry Twist….. interested to hear your thoughts on the new formula for WW! I preferred last year’s 😭😭😭

Ashley

So happy you guys reacted to this iconic video🫶🏻 CCW the absolute best reactors out there 😽!!

Riane Kim

This was so fun to rewatch with you all ♥️ Petition to release this rock version of N.O. please 😂😂 Also LOVE this new thing of watching the Bangtan episode with it, thank you for including it🫶🏻

sandy

jin is always so handsome but especially in this performance😫

Ashlee

I dont know why i thought you guys reacted to this ages ago,, so glad you got to finally see it!! Its such an epic performance 🙌🏾🔥

Anija

Omg this is awesome!!

Anna Marie Aguirre

Oh I remember this and specifically that VMin moment with the rose 😂 I was so giddy watching that for the first time and they all LOOK SO GOOD here 😍😍😍

Fee

Jin is singing the low part in Dionysus 😊

Ari

Thank you!!! needed this today!!!

sasabs

I love how whenever there's a mistake on stage, you always say everything is okay 😭

seven

I have no words to say except that the music industry is NOT ready for them 🔥 joon said they’re working so hard to release new music asap so they should start promoting soon :)

Tiffany

I always get the MAMAs and MMAs confused cuz I was like haven’t they already watched this one😂. Anyways happy to watch along with ya

seven

so real i’m obsessed with him in this performance 🫠

Abiha

i remember the craze over jin in that era

Keren Metz

I so love Abby's excitement and reaction whenever the guys first appear on stage - I have the same reaction!! So looking forward to their comeback!!!

Glycel Keith Belarmino

This is one of my fave award performance. It is also satisfying to see other kpop idols reaction watching BTS perform and how shock they are hahaha it is a million views in youtube. Fun fact, Official lightsticks are banned in MAMA because of BTS and ARMY hahaha. 80% of the audience are Armies if I'm not mistaken

seven

24:08 it’s jin abby 😭 i mean he was on screen singing with hobi lol they just didn’t turn his mic up

Latkat

I love him with his forehead exposed. Also with Jungkook. Let me see those handsome faces 😁!

Kearyce Moore

The mma 2019 performance already happened before this performance. Both award shows come out every year in november/December. Waking up at 4am might have been tough, but I have never regret it everytime of when it comes to my guys.

jooniesbonsai 🪴⊙⊝⊜

if the boys choose to perform at mma/mamas next year i can only IMAGINE how big the scale will be😭

jooniesbonsai 🪴⊙⊝⊜

they all looks SO GOOD HEREEE. jin exposed forehead🥰 namjoons silver mullet🥰 yoongis shaggy blonde hair🥰 hobis brown hair & gorgeous blinding smile🥰 blonde jimin🥰 taes wavy black hair🥰 jungkooks red hair🥰. ATE ATE ATE.

Michelle Vergara

So the snake on the stage is representative of Dionysus and immortality. However, at that time, antis were calling Army snakes/vipers for defending BTS when they won all the awards. It is believed that it was no coincidence that the snake was used on stage, surrounding the BTS logo.

D

The 🐍 represented army. When army was criticised as snake/ worst fandom etc, BTS showed they stand by army. Can be just interpretation by army/media etc, but who knows? Feels good, if true.

Tilottama Banerjee

This is the award show for which voting was going on until a few days back. This year, there's Jin and Hobi. (Hoping Bonsang and Daesang for them) Pretty sure next year with their album release, we will get an epic BTS 2026 MAMA performance! P.S - Loving the new addition of the Bangtan episodes alongside their respective videos. Please continue that!

Rana

Why do you never watch their speeches at award ceremonies?! 😭😭 Every time u guys react to an award show, I wait for the speeches but you never do 😔

Rana

Fr! HOPE THEY DO IT NEXT YEAR 🥹

Merryn4

Thank you for sharing behind the scene with us!! BTS EPISODE and Bangtan BOMB are a pot of gold for ARMY as fans and a go-to when they wish they were a fly on a wall -- endless details behind perfecting the wonders we see onscreen and off. BOMB alone has over 860 footages of their labor and 20.5M subscribe to EPISODE. Choreography, waiting room, hair & makeup, wardrobe, critiquing, briefing, debriefing, backstage chaos, reviewing scripts for speech/interviews, mishaps, hiccups, putting together dance challenge, getting acquainted with VIPs, sponsors, and patrons... Meanwhile, BTS would explode if they didn't turn every single obstacle into comedy but it's organized chaos. We truly don't deserve these golden memories they've created and made easily accessible to us anytime we want

Apex Mine

24:08 The person who’s doing the high and low note is Jin while J-hope is rapping

CatJ

I hope you get to their first AMAS performance in 2017 and the corresponding Bangtan Bomb, it’s so fun seeing the American crowd reaction to them and all the American celebrities they meet, also their BBMAS performances and the behind the scenes just super fun to see as an American being familiar with those award shows. But I agree our award shows pale in comparison to MMAs and MAMAs. MAMA 2017 and both MAMA 2018 (Japan and HK) are great!!

CatJ

Oh also Seoul Music Awards are fun to watch their performances. There is a fancam of the I think 2018 or 2019 one where the pyrotechnics scared the crap out the other idols watching the performance it was pretty funny

Shreya

So the reason they performed a lot of their older songs here was bcz they thought this would be their last award show performance as a group cause Jin and suga were gong to enlist in 2020 but then Covid came and rest is history

Merryn4

This was the day Jin appeared particularly beautiful, from tip to toe, and more handsome than usual, my jaws on the ground 🔥💜💜

Yodit Y

The dance practice for both Dionysos versions is just amazing and one of their best in my opinion. I don't think the sound for this MAMA performance was that great but thats out of their control. It's going to be very interesting to see future award show performances by them.

Yodit Y

Jin did actually get his cake if I'm not mistaken. He also did a Vlive with the members coming and congratulating him on his birthday then they all played a game. They also pulled some pranks on him with Tae ringing his hotel doorbell getting him to come out of his room and the door closing behind him and we had a minute of Hobi, Jimin and JK taking over the live haha.

isa ♡

now im so excited for the suchwita for tomorrow 🩷🩷

Carine avlis

Thank you so much!! It was great seeing you guys enjoy it! I'm not sure, if you have reacted already, but I think you would love to watch MAMA 2016 as well

Maeee

Twiceee~ was playing hehe

Merryn4

The way Jin made sure Jimin understood the assignment about what goes or doesn't go into his cake 😂😂😂

Gabbie

Everything is always super rushed 😅 and I get why, but there is the behind from memories for this too. There could be so much more for just one thing.

Brittany Joy

Man I can't wait for them to do award shows again next year!

Merryn4

That iconic chaos happening in Jin's room is a must-watch 😂

Merryn4

The chaos from the grand scale would be off the chart. I would make a note of where the exits are if i were to be in the building 🤣

KimSeok2ParkMinjeon⁷99

BTS kings of amazing performance 🙌🔥🔥🔥🔥CAN'T WAIT FOR THEM TO TAKE OVER AWARDS SHOWS AGAIN 🙌🔥🔥🔥

DanielleM

Wait did you guys ever watch the Dionysus dance practices(The Solo intro dances and also the full group dance practice) for the MMA 2019 performance yet? If not you guys gotta check them out someday!💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

Kyuu Koomi

It would be great if CCW reacting to this particular Jin bday live for the next Jin bday week 😍

akaV⁷✌🏼⊙⊝⊜

I love that it's Jin and RM launching Jimin into the air, every time they perform N.O 💜

haefesha

Thank youu for this 🥰🥰 Btw when you watch behind the scene please be less talk cause we are reading subtitles, watching our boys, watching you guys, plus listening to you so when you talk long over video its chaos😅 But love ur video as always💜💜

akaV⁷✌🏼⊙⊝⊜

It was this MAMA 2019, when Jimmy Fallon presented AOTY (to BTS) in a pre-recorded video. You can hear his voice at 36:10.

Mylena Inacio

THIS ONE IS DEFINITELY ONE OF MY FAVORITES <3

kumamon

I remember around this time V was having a hard time mentally so that’s why he looks “serious” in many videos around this time till the beginning of 2020 , and that’s how blue & grey came along .

itsniky_m

Sometimes I want you guys to go back and re watch everything because now you know so much about them that your reaction would be completely different and you'd probably notice things you didn't before... 😅

JCARMY

Jin did a Vlive for his birthday after the rehearsal and played video games with ARMY, then some of the members crashed his room and even locked him out at one point. But this was when he promised ARMY he would wear the hat on the red carpet.

Heyam_taetae

I don’t know how you manage to do it every single time, but your presence carries a kind of magic unlike anyone else’s. Every video of yours makes me smile without even realizing it and fills me with a warmth that stays for a long time. I love your way, your style, and the spirit you bring into everything you do. You’re the kind of people whose presence alone can make my day feel lighter and brighter. Thank you for always creating this beautiful feeling. Love you so so so so so soooooo much my little sweet family.💜💜🌼

Yodit Y

they haven't but it would be amazing if they did esp. the original version, which is crazy.

army.syaza

Everytime Summer looks at Bangtan w smiles. Idk, i felt that. Like shes proud like how Im proud of Bangtan. 💜 it just warms my heart every time. CCW truly the best reaction channel to BTS

Kendall

Can yall react to spaghetti by lesserafim ft. Jhope

Catie C

Jin was doing both the high note and the low note when Abby asked who it was during Dionysus.

Elizabeth Farrar

When you said TXT must have been pretty new here, you were right. TXT were still rookies (and were the monster rookies)

Darci

Wait till yall see the original choreography of Dionysus

cina

omg true just like how I am watching these reaction videos!

cina

ARTIST OF THE YEAR 7 YEARS STRAIGHT, BEAT THAT <3

GirlFun03

The snake 🐍 there has big meaning behind for Army and BTS relationship and how bts always stan behind us same as Army behind them it made me always love the performance even more💜

Tae

I need them to react to idol reactions to bts💀💀

Teresa Cruz

oh this is the one where tae injured his shoulder during Dionysus😭😭
