Hey Guys!

Welcome back. TODAY we are watching Run BTS! Episode 122, Reverse Avatar Cook 1. Last episode was really fun, we went back to the blue village and played a spy game where it was to be continued, just not today! We are going to go ahead and hop in to Episode 121+1= 122! 😂

Today it's part 1 of a 2 part cooking show that has us laughing our butts off. Suga and Jin are in the kitchen and we are shocked their dish turned out good. It was pretty impressive they figured out a dish that they aren't use to seeing or cooking. Another food episode and another chance to make us hungry. Next episode looks funny and we can't wait to check that one out next time.

So the prev blue village was not BUILT by them its an actual place in korea and from what i heard children go there to get to experience how different jobs function thats why the place has so many setups

This is before In the Soop if I remember correctly and after the tour plans where canceled, I think. This episode was filmed before the previous ones you watched. The 2 previous episodes you watched they had their Dynamite hair colour. They don't always air the episodes in the order they filmed them that's why it sometimes feels like you see a lot of hairstyle changes.

Omg guys 🤣plz pause and read the instructions mentioned in the brackets then you wouldnt be confused im glad you got it earlier into the ep but maybe next time it would be good to read the things in brackets they are often the context to the dialogues /game instructions so it would give you guys so much clarity

JK did guess what it was when watching the video the first time but didn't realise it was in Pizza form. He guessed it was Tangsuyuk correctly so he wasn't clueless lol

Its soo funny that jhope is on the opposite team but he keeps giving suggestions to jm and jk on how to give good instructions lol and i guess that kinda helped them make side dish too which they gave up on at first

I think where it went wrong is due to the soy sauce. In my country, we only have 1 kind of soy sauce but in Korea they have different kinds like soup soy sauce, pure/brewed soy sauce (saltier) and the dark/ all-purpose soy sauce. Yoongi noticed there was another soy sauce there after they were almost done cooking besides the pure/brewed one that they used. Jimin and JK also didnt specifically mention what kind of soy sauce they should use so they used the pure salty one 😂

It's not easy reading all that on a first watch. Sometimes, we recognize the bracket on the repeat watches and have to pause them several times.

the canned meat is spiced ham / spam / luncheon meat - many brands in korea and asia has this product - the most common in the states would be spam

I think so too, the soy sauce they used (양조간장/”brewed” soy sauce) isn’t heat resistant so its flavor disappears or gets altered when heated. It might’ve just made the sauce taste like a strange vinegar and sugar mix without any saltiness or umami to balance it out, or the altered flavor might’ve just added a strange hint of burnt saltiness. I guess the adding of kimchi and cheese balanced it out, or if they changed to a heat resistant type and added some without us seeing it.

I love that Hobi gives the opposing team advice throughout the episode “Shouldn’t one of them start on the 2nd dish now?” “Yoongi should heat up a frying pan” -it’s like his organized brain can’t help but make a plan.

The canned meat is just spam, they’re saying spam but the subtitles put it as ‘canned meat’ because Spam is actually a brand name and they don’t get that free promo 🤣
