Hey Guys!

Today we are back with Run BTS! Episode 125, K-HAM Special. We did get some bad news about Yoongi and found out that he will be missing from a lot of the upcoming episodes. He will be missed from the games and we can't wait to see if and how they bring him up in his absence from the show. BUT last time the guys were coming up with ideas for upcoming episodes, which we've found out since that we've already seen some, and we can't wait to see more! Let's hop in and find out what happens today.

Yoongi's picture is on the table and they left him a knife! Such a sweet show. Today the guys are splitting up into teams and cooking and there is a special guest judge, Baek Jong-won, and we feel like we've seen him before. We've been doing a lot of cooking in the last few episodes and we aren't upset about it. Another good episode today!

Chef Baek is super popular and highly respected in South Korea, I hope you guys get to watch his alcohol journey with Jin, They’re now co-owners of their own brand Igin. I think this episode might even be where they met for the first time !!

Never been this early. You might recognise the chef from In the Soop season 2, he was the person they facetimed about how to cook the meat. He also helped Jin with some of his alcohol ventures. He is a very famous SK chef but has had a little bit of trouble as of late because of some of his franchise restaurants. Also that was their kitchen in their apartment where they lived until late 2020/early 2021 If I remember correctly.

You guys actually saw their interactions with this chef in IN THE SOOP cause they called him to get some cooking instructions and I believe you guys thought it was mr bang or smthn lol but yea this is not your first time seeing this chef but yea since you don’t know who he is you might not remember him in those eps there are literally soooo many interactions of bts with this chef and Jin even told us that he became one of his close friends as he had a mini series with him on yt with making traditional alcohol

yeah ive noticed that with a lot of previous ones around the halfway mark but it would only do it once, but this time its done it like 3 times so I'm at least glad that it's not just me (i thought it was my computers fault lol)

i think it’s sweet how besides needing help with some things, they didn’t really need Chef Paik’s assistance w every single thing but they wanted him to feel included rather than just stand in the middle for the majority of the shoot :) bts are really great at subtly ensuring everyone involved is having a good time/not left out and still being genuine! (comeback era is making me emo over everything lol)

If I remember correctly, you guys visited one of Chef Paik's restaurant in one of your vlogs. Also, this was filmed in BTS' last group apartment. They filmed several content/RUN episodes here during the lockdown. As others have mentioned, Paik goes on to become Jin's business partner for Jennie's Lamp (IGIN).

Yes, this is the same chef they called in ITS2 and he's also very close with Jin. Jin's well known of being close with 2 celebrity chefs. He called them whenever he has question about cooking. He did that in Kian's Bizzare B & B too, which you should watch after Jinny's Kitchen. and Tae was very cute in this episode.

Mr.Paik has a few noodle restaurants in TX. If you haven't already you can try his food. Also, on Netflix there's a cooking show called "culinary class wars" which he is one of the 2 judges.

I don't know whether anyone has mentioned this, but majority of Asians remove our shoes when we are indoors - especially if it's our home or someone else's. It's a sign of respect for the house, and a cultural practice that's rooted in good hygiene. In this case, this episode was filmed at their residence, so no one is wearing shoes.

Ps. Chef Paik's restaurant in Melbourne (he actually has a few in Melbs) is one that I frequent when I'm craving Korean, and it always hits. Unsure whether he has one in Texas (he definitely got a few in LA), if so you guys should try!
