Welcome Back Guys!

Today we switch things up a bit and check out something a little different. We are FINALLY checking out Let's Talk BTS! This one has been requested throughout the years but TODAY is the day we finally get around to watching it. This one takes us back in time when BTS was on the rise worldwide and taking on their FIRST Korean talk show on a major TV station. This one is a bit longer so we are breaking it into 2 parts. Let's go ahead and hop in to Let's Talk BTS Part 1.

We didn't realize this was an actual talk show, we were expecting a variety show. But what a nice surprise with a remix of Dynamite followed by an interview and funny moments! 🤣 And the guts it took to sing in front of these guys. We are excited to check out the second half of this video, but it will have to wait until next week. See you soon for the next one.

Thanks for watching with us.

Aww... Can't wait to watch the 2nd part. I really love this show. Watched this quite a lot since I discovered it. And Do Yeon is so fun! Jin appeared in her talk show Salon Drip 2 when he was promoting his solo album. It was so fun. You should watch it some time in the future.

Lea

It wasn’t really a good show tbh.. the effects on screen were super overstimulating. And the questions they asked them were mostly things CCW heard the answers of already, again and again

BTS very hardly appeared on Korean TV shows (either variety shows or talk shows) after American Hustle Life. Even with the Arirang comeback, they didn't do any promotions on regular Korean broadcast shows - they picked YouTube channels and content creators for their appearances. If I'm not mistaken, the Tonight Show is the only broadcast TV show they appeared on for the Arirang comeback. I am so happy for you guys to make a connection with a new Korean acquaintance!!

Hi guys, I love it that you guys reacted to this interview show because I've watched it before and it was sooo fun! And wholesome too. The male host is a very good friend of theirs although I wasn't sure how they got close in the first place but later on he was also one of the guests in Yoongi's Suchwita. Although I've watched this interview, I can't wait to see Part 2. Thanks so much.

YESSSS ONE OF MY FAVORITE BTS INTERVIEWS EVER!!!! Plus, the guy hosting it was on suchwita and bts picked him personally to host this show

cuesegue .

I think when BTS were on You Quiz on the block it was more like a talk show than a variety show. I mean they did a quiz and played a game but for the most part it was in a talk show format with all members together then in pairs, and then individually. This show and You Quiz are two of my favorite interviews because you can really tell how much more relaxed and comfortable they are. Also, the KBS news9 and KBS World radio interviews were like talk shows and both were great.

Angela Maria Fernandez

I loved it, although I’m still waiting for the reaction to Rookie King and BTS on NAVER STAR CAST PLEASEEEEEEEE :ccc

Danie Vasquez

I love that episode. I hope they get to watch it and it's on their list.

BUT, did you/Daniel & Summer tell the Korean mom that you've BEEN to Korea?! That would blow her already blown mind 🤯

taz

in general, bts don’t really go on korean tv shows. i think it was because of the way they were treated early on — it’s why they created RUN BTS in the first place, for example.

lis

awww that story at the end was so cute 🥺

JCotiWhite

She actually interviewed Jin on her show for one of his solo albums.

2026-11-07 17:00 If you remember from some BTS introduction videos, BTS and Big Hit were outsiders in a Korean entertainment industry long dominated by the "Big 3" agencies. The major agencies had strong relationships with broadcasters and could secure prime-time slots, while smaller companies often struggled for exposure. Because of this, BTS's achievements were frequently overlooked by parts of the media, while controversies or rumours tended to receive much more attention. In their early years, BTS also faced dismissive treatment on some TV programmes, which contributed to Big Hit's reluctance to rely on major networks. There were also high-profile conflicts, such as when BTS could not attend a year-end music festival due to another scheduled performance, leading to a long-running dispute between the network and HYBE artists. That's one reason BTS rarely appeared on Korean television compared to many other idol groups, and why they sometimes chose not to attend certain events in person. Personally, I'm glad they stood their ground instead of giving in to industry politics. That's why a dedicated ~100-minute BTS talk show on a major Korean network is such a big deal. And it's not just any host. They chose Shin Dong-yup, one of Korea's most respected MCs alongside Yoo Jae-suk (the host of You Quiz on the Block and Running Man), both considered pillars of the Korean entertainment industry. By the way, do you remember New Yang Nam Show? BTS appeared on it in 2017, hosted by a female comedian, but I can't remember if you've watched that one yet.

CCW thank you for a great reaction. I am really looking foward to the rest of the show. Thank you for sharing your heart-warming story with your new South Korean friends. On the talk show those people who BTS recognized were Korean celebrities. About this being BTS first South Korean talk show, You guys have seen it mentioned before, but must have forgotten, in the beggining of BTS career they had a really tough time getting invited to big TV shows. They did participate in some shows but it wasn't very frequent, cause TV stations favored artists from the (back then) big 3 labels. So BTS started to create their own content to make up for it and so Big Hit, as BTS fame started to grow worldwide, started to favor foreign midia (talk shows, interviews, etc) instead of SK midia because of that. That's why they have been to more Western talk shows than Korean. I think BTS overall has participated in shows and gave more interviews outside SK than in SK. I think Big hit strategy is kind of like "those TV stations were not that interested when BTS were small, now that BTS are worldwide we can pick and choose which one of these tv shows they want to be in"

i dont think its safe bc of copyrights. japan is very strict with those.

Im from California and even in my small town we had every nationality as school friends. When l went to Texas as an adult because of military it was a whole different world. Didn't see any Asians except the ones from our AF base. It's different now but back then it was pretty much one race. Glad they have incorporated some more cultures.

Giselle Vargas
