Iman

Yessssss thank you !!! And I’m SO excited for INDIGO 💙

Amanda P

Very excited for indigo and your rm reactions this week! And you guys talking about watching BTS content in the future, I'm sure you're planning on reacting to in the soop and bon voyage, they're such great ways to get to know the boys more and see their personalities, in the soop especially is so chill and fun to watch

Minnie

You mentioned Ego and Shadow. Ego (solo from J-hope), Shadow (solo from Suga) and Persona where the "Concept" of Map of the Soul: 7 (their Album). They all rap about the parts of the Soul and its also connected so you get a bigger picture at the end out of the parts😊

Kett - c.a. 63

So much to this song. Thanks for sharing your journey. So glad to watch without interruption!

Wendy Everett

Thank you editor for the hand through the hair montage!

Joy

I think that’s my favorite thus far 😂

Grace McLean

Please check out his explanation video, like you said this song is deep and has lots of visual info. The beat at the begining is from one of their older songs.

Joy

BTS likes to do things in trilogy and likes to tell a story through the flow of the album. Map of the Soul is technically mentioned first in the BU era or better yet, BU era “ends” with telling a member he needs to find his Map of the Soul… which leads us to Persona and & Map of the Soul 7 album. Daniel mentioned a couple times of RM’s shadow and anxiety— well this concept will be even more pronounced in SUGA’s SHADOW. Originally, the plan was to release a trilogy album: Persona, Shadow & Ego. But it was all combined instead in MotS 7. Personally, this is my favorite album. May I make a suggestion? (Hahaha, probably an unpopular one) - just do a listen through to whole albums (no MV). That way, you guys get more familiar with their music quickly without feeling so behind. It can be on your own time, and no reaction needed. Maybe just your general thoughts on each album. Then all YT reactions can be: 1. MV contents (making of or explanation videos) 2. Live performances and dance practice 3. Deep dive into lyrics for songs with or without MV. Plus you still have all the shows, docuseries, VLive and endless fan-made videos including quizzes. There are 6 BTS shows alone thus far excluding all the new short series shows.

Marina Miranda

Awesome reaction!!! And yeah, there is a lot to unpack in this. Hope you guys can check DKDKTV video about it, because there's a connection between Persona, Ego (jhope's solo) and Shadow (Suga's solo) in the Map of the Soul series.

LoveOT7

You guys should also check out Monster, Joke, and Do You by RM, if you haven't already. RM is amazing 💜

VJMJK

When you guys would have new contents on PATREON？I believe people keep waiting you guys watching Bon Voyage/RUN BTS and Rise of Bangtan.

Stefanie

Not sure what I am doing wrong but this video isn’t playing for me 😭

Mary-Liramei

Thanks for posting the uncut version. I'm not sure why the editor is needing to add the breaks in the youtube version though. Is it because you're trying to monetize? If you're not monetizing, I thought you just needed to accept the copyright claims and then you're good to go. I'm not a youtube creator though so just what I've gathered over the years from other reactors.

Arie Castle

Finally you reacted to Persona! Thank you for reacting. Please react to Jungkook's new song Dreamers and this is an official soundtrack to Worldcup. The full performance is available on BangtanTV and the MV is on Fifa Channel 💜💜💜

Stefanie

It’s working now! :-)

Yukari

I love the entire Map of the Soul 7 album, based on Carl Jung’s work. He raps about the different personas (what you show to the world) so he is RM, the leader, Namjoon, etc. Suga sings about the shadow, what we try to hide from others, and J hope sings about Ego, which is realized when you accept both the persona and the shadows. The entire album is exploring all three. It’s incredible! BigHit released some of RM’s songs on SoundCloud to both Spotify and AM… his Mono is incredible and the Bicycle is amazing! Thank you!

Kim Seokjul

I think you guys should also watch the DKDKTV Explanation videos by a korean. Appreciate you guys diving into the lyrics but there are aloooot of easter eggs in the music video that would make your appreciation rise. Especially in this Map of The Soul Series. You reacted to Idol MV and actually missed alot of korean references that would be found in the DKDKTV explanation videos.

Kim Seokjul

YESSS I cant stress the importance of this enough. Even with their Idol MV reaction

Cooney

thank you for reacting to Persona! it's not completed yet if you're not continuing the storyline which is Interlude: Shadow (SUGA), then the Outro: EGO (JHope). 💜💜💜

April Forgue

Yes the explanation video is a must you will never get the full meaning of the Album without unless you have read Carl Jung book map of the soul.

Sunny Young

Totally agree with Marina, DKDKTV is a good place to find many explanations for BTS songs. ESP ones wrapped in Korean culture and history. Also you should know that RM was reading and studying Karl Jung before he came up with this POV. Looking for answers to his own questions. It's not important in anything other than understanding how he goes after answers, but RM ( like myself) is an atheist. Loved watching this reaction!

Joy

That was my understanding too. Copyright claim will always be noted, but it will still be permitted for YouTube posting.

ColombianCousinsAndWives

Hi Mary. It’s a mix of copyright and blocks. If it’s only a copyright, it can be posted. However, some videos that were allowed as copyright ended up getting blocked anyway a day or 2 later. We try to avoid them all together but aren’t always able to. I’d say about half our videos have an active copyright on them. For longer content like MMA, there are many more opportunities for copyrights to become blocks so we try harder to avoid it on those videos. Youtube’s algorithm seems to be very inconsistent, but we’re learning a little bit more each time we upload.

Michelle Miller

You all reacted to Best Yet to Come video where the members stated the Proof album was like a guidelines of BTS and that included an order of their music which can better help you in with the meaning of the lyrics...so it's good you all enjoy watching the MV but jumping around with the videos will hinder the exact meaning of the lyrics..BTS has provided that order.

ColombianCousinsAndWives

These are in the works! We mentioned in past community updates a dedicated tier for some of the paid content. Once we get passed all the videos we have left on our schedule then we’ll begin inserting the new content. We’re close!

Kavisha

An under-rated but perhaps one you would really love. RM 'Rain'. Mellow and melancholy, it a whole new rap vibe from RM. He is a genius.

SRK

guysssss saying this again.... I do not know why people aren't recommending this more! PLEASE REACT TO THE BTS EXPLANATION VIDEOS BY YOUTUBE CHANNEL DKDKTV!

l

I have so much love and respect for Namjoon, his mind and way of describing things is always so beautiful and articulate. The fact that he has written most of BTS' songs in over 9+ years is insane.

alessia

react to the explanation of the lyrics he was insane in the lyricssss!!

Joy

The song was not written for the Sewol Ferry incident. The MV storyline was, but not the song. RM said he wrote this song thinking about his friends he’s lost in touch with. Here’s one video that explains the song writing including V’s rejected demo 😢 https://youtu.be/QSpSw_j7D3Q This one is a 10 second explanation, hahaha… I love is expression here. https://youtube.com/shorts/aGLktKgK5cQ?feature=share

essi

people confuse this quite a bit but the song isn't written about the tragedy, the music video is about that. the lyrics are personal to the members about lost friends.

Natalia Sheridan

I feel like you should check out some other k-pop artists as well. I just think you would enjoy them as well. If you ever decide I recommend checking out seventeen, stray kids, txt, red velvet.

Natalia Sheridan

One of my favorite songs right now is darling by seventeen and maniac by stray kids.

Echo

They've barely begun this journey. They still have so much content to cover.

Kat Taylor

I love Persona so much! It’s definitely one I listen to almost everyday. I also really really love Seoul and Moonchild by Joon 😁

Sokha637

When is come to Rm is always good to check the lyrics and explanation always more deep and complex then we thinking..please check DKDKTV you will understand a lots better..thank you guys always a pleasure to see you all Borahae 💜

ImLyssah

loved that reaction . RM is truly a king of lyrics. I remember you guys wanted to hear more ballads. I feel like more of there solo works are like that, specially the vocal lign. Can't wait for you to check their solo songs with lyrics.

Frank Chun

BTS won 3 Deasang (Best artist/song) and they now have a total of 70 in their careers so far.

Vee

hey please react to j-hope full lolapalooza performance

Bangtan Insfired

Can you make oatreon exclusive content? I mean stuff you haven't uploaded already lol. and release here stuff here only after a day since regular subscribers wait about 2 days on average. Maybe you guys can get into other episodes of run.. or in the soop

SRK

agreed. I'm dyinnngggg cuz of the wait.

Mumbejja

The shadow is the real us that we hide from everyone. Carl Jung’s theory

Kimberly Gonzalez

can you react to J hopes full lollapalooza performance?

Neema Solomon

I really enjoy your reactions and would like to see more mv reactions like no more dream, Just one day, Blood Sweat and tears etc.

ColombianCousinsAndWives

Hi Bangtan! We’ve actually talked about this. We plan on doing some of their paid content in another tier. But in this tier will also include some new stuff, it’s also being worked out right now (the scheduling, the timeline, etc). Since this is all so new we didn’t have a comprehensive infrastructure in place, but we’re slowly getting there!

kat ☽ *

This performance was so epic. And his speeches left me an emotional mess!

Kara

We need the MV Blood Sweat and Tears as well as DNA!

Gloria Cleveland

RM will be on NPR's Tiny Desk tomorrow - Indigo release day.

Rebecca Shelton

INDIGO!! The entire album is magic from start to finish. Thank you Joon for this absolute work of art, poetry and music. I'm not exaggerating when I say it's a masterpiece 💙💜

Redg C.

No need to react in video format - but would love it if you guys check out RM's Indigo like on your own time, then maybe film a video of your thoughts like what are your faves and then -play small snippets here and there of the song. :) Reacting to a full album maybe is too much to ask but I'm sure you guys would enjoy Indigo!!! The range of musicality and emotions are next level :)
