FUN FACTS: After this performance, BBC News and New York Music named V and Olivia skit at #1 Most Standout and Best Moment. Billboard named it the best performance of the night and the Rolling Stone ranks it 13th best in Grammys history. US media The Ringer labels Taehyung as the ideal man to play the next James Bond. 😁

Cycology SPIN and MORE

omg... i went back and forth... youtube just is horrible sometimes!! I cannot wait til you read all the comments about that performance that almost didn't happen!! And imagine...we are at the GRAMMY'S!! One of the best Grammy performances of all time!! BTS- 10 years going strong NEVER DISAPPOINT!

Cycology SPIN and MORE

Jungkook and Jimin did this jacket trick on Black and White performance that you'll hopefully see one day!!!

Rokm_

How did they do that? Well, bts are magicians ☺️. No seriously, they are amazing aren’t they? I miss their live performances so much. Thank you for reacting to this 🙏🏽

Cycology SPIN and MORE

The internet FREAKED OUT over V and Olivia!!!! Like you have to see some of the long time reactioner's!! Omg SOOOOO FUNNY!

hanziesung

It's so funny and cool when you guys didn't notice that j-hope fell down the stairs. It was completely accidental, the boys were very nervous, that's why Hobi stepped aside. But a lot of people didn't notice this first because J-hope handled the situation very cool and carried on almost unnoticed. He was so professional

Michelle Vergara

The more times you watch it, the more Easter eggs you find. Look at the “pictures” on the wall behind them. They start to disappear at the beginning of the performance. When SUGA starts rapping the pictures are now of BTS from HYYH era.

TaezedNotConfused

Just know that NEVER EVER EVER is there any BTS performance or song that isn’t phenomenal. Bad, so-so, alright etc are not in their vocabulary! This is the primary reason these polls stress me out! So hard! I’m OT7 and OT235 (songs) We of course want you to react to all of them and I’m glad you all are picking ones to watch as well. You will never be disappointed. Love you guys and keep up the awesome work!! 💜💜 PS - 4x locked 😂😂😂😂

Bright Star

Some info about this fenomenal performance and their huge profesionalism; BTS just practiced all together one day before of the grammys because Jk and Hobi had COVID and they were recovering, few days before presentation Jin injured his hand and they had to reorganice everything to include him and to practice with out him (He was very concern about it) On this BangtanTv video [EPISODE] BTS (방탄소년단) @ 64th GRAMMY Awards you could find all behind this amazing performance. Loved your reaction.

Anthony

💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

Mockingirl

Yes!! I came to say this! There’s a whole different story to watch on the screens behind them. It’s like they broke in the museum and then had folks rob & deface it while their dance distracted us. There are even LV suits on the right of the screen toward the end.

Shna Faruq

Happy FESTA everyone 💜

Maritza Islas

You will most definitely need to watch the behind the scenes of this performance. It almost didnt happen. But these boys are strong and resilient

KNP

Damn I wish you guys could have watched the behind the scenes to see how much work it took them to pull this off. 2 members were recovering from covid right before( Hobi and JK). Literally JK got out of quarantine the day before the performance. Jin was recovering from hand surgery. Jimin was also recovering from his emergency appendectomy surgery AND HE ALSO TESTED POSITIVE FOR COVID while at the hospital (I think his surgery was a month before but still) And they got to practice the performance the night before the performance. One day if you have anytime you have to watch the behind the scene. Its on Bangatntv its called [EPISODE] BTS (방탄소년단) @ 64th GRAMMY Awards https://youtu.be/Hr1OSHf3S2Q

Kasapo Mwanza

Someone correct me if I’m wrong but wasn’t the pole that won supposed to be the grammy behind episode? Or is that supposed to be a whole other video?

PJ

Yaayyy I was waiting for this! 🥰 I get exactly what Daniel means about wanting to see the crowd's reactions to the guys, but BTS literally does something different every moment that if I'd missed any of it due to the camera panning to the crowd, I'd be mad 😄 Also, I don't think you guys noticed but the members are actually breaking in to steal the paintings (on the screen behind them), they then spray paint all over the place and hang up pictures of themselves before leaving! 😂 I find it hilarious cuz it just seems like something silly they'd do even while attempting a crime lol. Loved this reaction guys! 💜 Heading to see you meet Yoonji now!

KayeP

Hoping you get to watch the Episode video so that you'll get more behind the scenes during that time!! <3

Voya

It won but it'll be three weeks before it because there are 2 other poll winners before the grammy behind the scenes. This was already filmed during the poll

limeline

You should’ve watched the actual behind the scene episode of the grammys

Fatbottomgirlsrock

Its amazing that with all the set backs (Covid recovery, Jins hand, etc) they not only pulled this off with flying colors but sang LIVE which I don't believe most artists do these days

Leidy Sanchez V

Should we just pretend we haven't figured out that Jimin is Summer's bias wrecker?

Gelatin

I recommend you watch the full behind the scene of their grammy performance. You'll be more amazed to find out how they're able to put up a jaw dropping performance after all the hurdles they encountered. Here's the link guys. Hope you can react to it https://youtu.be/Hr1OSHf3S2Q

Seneca

I always thought it was Hobi!! But now that you mention it, maybe it’s Jihope haha

Zoe Bees_V

I remember the Internet broke hard after the V x Olivia’s skit was aired. They went viral they were everywhere. I'm not even joking - Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and Twitter were full of memes about them. Even my non-Kpop friends kept asking me about them.

Mylle carvalho

A video of you guys telling who your biases are and a ranking of your fav songs so far would be cool! I love your reaction!

HeatherW

For real....it was one thing after the other! Such a stressful time for them, but they put on one hell of a show, like nothing even happened.

Moon

I’m so curious on summers bias wrecker! A video about who everyone’s biases are would be so entertaining

monica

Trevor Noah who was the host that night spoke so nicely about them on his own show. He mentioned how hard BTS practiced during rehearsals to get it perfect, and that they were so nice and respectful to every single person there. =)

Ashleyder

They faced SO many challenges leading up to this performance, and they were so nervous, but they did an AMAZING job.

Tarisai

the crazy thing is despite all the challenges they faced reaching p to this performance case of covid and everything .despite that they annihilated every other grammy performance after and before them .

Laurab.7

I thought it was between Jimin or Jin! Can’t wait to find out

Kat

We were all SO worried about this performance! A few of the members had caught Covid and they had little to no time to rehearse, then Jin had to have surgery on his hand (that’s the injury). But it all ended up working out!

OnaNikki

👆 Yes!! I was just going to post this! Watch this, even if it’s not with us!! 💜😌

OnaNikki

Bias wrecker???????!!!!!!

Army Of Noonas

They had so many obstacles as mentioned above.. in fact to add to that, the dance break during their actual performance, was one of the few times they got the jackets act precisely right. The boys must be so stressed albeit being used to working so well under pressure. So proud of them. If not for their performance, the Scammys is not worth my time. I hope you guys find the time to watch BTS EPISODE on the behind the scenes of this performance on BANGTANTV.

Ana.g

I think its V, because he stands out the most in the grammy performance (in my opinion)

Lane. L.

Your faces when you saw their dance break. 😲😳😍 Astonishing right?! I recalled when Namjoon mentioned during the red carpet that they are going to do something different, my anticipation rose much much higher. Then I was watching through 2 devices. I was on a live together with some ARMYs and reactors, then another was on the Grammy show. 😅 The life of an ARMY. 🤣 Anywho, BTS killed it! As always. To echo what other ARMYs said in the comments, the hurdles that they have to overcome, were staggering. We were so happy that all members made it there. Can't wait for the behind! 💜💜💜 P.S. Have you seen the 10th Festa updates? There's gonna be a lot. Just saw the Bang Bang Con today! Bittersweet emotions for me today. ApoBangpo! 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

Amy Rustand

This performance was hit by setbacks so hard - Jin's injury (so they had to re-tool the entire choreo); then JHope getting Covid and having to delay his departure from Korea; then JK testing positive for Covid once they landed in the U.S. so he had to quarantine immediately.... It's a testament to their dedication and professionalism that they were able to perfect it despite every obstacle. Another reason why we love them so much 💜

Cycology SPIN and MORE

It's 1000% V! Because Summer is MY bias and I just know!!! LOL!!! ME? JK all day long and forever is my bias and Jimin is my HARD bias wrecker

Lauren Miatke

There is a BTS episode on the Bangtan TV youtube channel that shows their preparation for the grammys. You might be interested in it?

Relyn Morong

Spent the whole day watching bangbangcon. What a great Saturday

Madison

thats what their poll was for 2 days ago. grammys behind is winning tho

Lauren Miatke

Oh you are right! Totally forgot about that haha

Lilian

THE WORLD STOPPED

Susan

If you want to see a performance with great crowd reaction from other artists you should watch Butter at the 2021 American Music Awards and the Bangtan TV behind the scenes. They also performed with Coldplay that night.

Armystic

Jungkook literally only got out of quarantine from having Covid ONE DAY before this performance lol imagine dropping in on the Grammys from that height with just his hand and belly belt and live singing the whole time when he barely tested negative but he def still had symptoms. He did a vlive a day after and he could still barely talk without coughing the whole time lol I duno how he did this and ended the song like that w as sick as he was. Jhope had Covid like 3 weeks before the performance… Jin hurt his finger a month and a half before the performance… he could have danced the routine and stuff but bc of all the stuff they were doing with their hands it made it pretty difficult for him to do that part of the routine with them… so he jumped in at the end once all that part was over with… poor guy… but he was a trooper and they did a photo shoot where they were all villains and Jin’s villain was a computer hacker lol pretty much had a similar setup for his photo shoot so it kinda tied in nicely with that. They worked so hard to perfect everything!!! Also jungkook and jimin did a dance stage to Michael Jackson’s “black or white” and did a similar removing their jacket together like they all did here in that dance like 5 years ago or so…. So it was cool to see the updated version with everyone! They were awesome! You can see everyone standing up giving them the standing O and they show many artists … I’m glad they didn’t show all their reactions to bc BTS is the show lol if you guys watch fake love for billboards and the DNA performance for the amas… you’ll see more of the crowds reactions which I’m surprised you guys haven’t been shown those already…. All the behind the scenes stuff is so much fun!!! Seeing BTS meeting all these celebs right as they started getting a little fame in the US is insanely adorable and they’re so precious through and through! Hope you get to see it one day!!!

Armystic

Yeh jungkook literally got out of quarantine one day before the performance lol even his vlive after the Grammys he could barely speak without coughing… I duno how he was able to do all this and song live w symptoms still. Jhope had been clear from Covid for like 10 days or something and he tripped and almost fell over at the beginning which never would have happened normally… symptoms w Covid don’t just go away bc they’re negative… so they were def still dealing with that and were amazing… everyone else preparing properly without them but alwys thinking of them so they could be prepared and help the others just slide into their spots when they were back…. It really shows the level of true teamwork that they have. They really are the definition of healthy teamwork, leadership and what it takes to truly be a successful team. So proud of them always

Armystic

I think it’s jungkook …. She always points out his vocals as being her favorite parts and she always noticed everything about him in the backgrounds … performances she’s always watching him and she loves his vocal skills for sure … but it’s hard to tell lol

Armystic

Jimin didn’t have surgery lol he had outpatient appendectomy… requires no major surgery and it was like 2 months before this lol Jan 31 was the appendectomy and April 3 was the Grammys lol so a little over 2 months .

Armystic

Jin got his injury like 3 weeks before the Grammys, hobi tested negative for Covid about a week and a half before the Grammys, jungkook was out of quarantine for one day before the performance.

Armystic

Hobi got Covid like 2 weeks before the Grammy performance , he was out of quarantine for about a week before the Grammys , jungkook got Covid one week before the performance and was only tested negative one day before the performance, jimin had appendectomy over two months before the Grammy performance and it’s actually not a major surgery and you get to leave the hospital the day you get it done. He actually tested positive for Covid at that time as well.. so like 2 months before the performance . Jin had surgery 3 weeks before the Grammys

Armystic

Omg I saw it the first time and was so worried about him… he was so shaky

Armystic

Reminds me of when jungkooks abs were one of the top moments of the bbmas when they did fake love lmao

Armystic

Jungkooks vocal runs are always a highlight of BTS songs lol especially live

KNP

From BigHit themselves. I might not know much about the medicine world but I do know what in-patient and out-patient mean. And I did state I did not remember when the surgery was exactly and estimated the appropriate number of months. “Hello. This is BigHit Music. We would like to provide you with the following information regarding the current health status of BTS member Jimin. Jimin experienced sudden abdominal pain along with a mild sore throat on January 30 in the afternoon. He visited a hospital emergency room for a thorough examination, and also took a PCR test. Jimin was diagnosed with acute appendicitis and was tested positive for Covid-19. He underwent surgery following physician advice early morning on Monday, January 31. According to the medical staff, the surgery was successful and Jimin is currently recuperating after his procedure. He will be receiving a few days of in-patient treatment for Covid-19 in conjunction with postoperative care’’

Zoe Bees_V

FUN FACT: Taehyung was counting 1,2,3,4.. the whole time in his head to match with the sound effects while he was doing skit with Olivia Rodrigo. 😎

I teared up reading your comment. I am beyond proud of them and proud of the fandom I am in. Apobangpo ! 💜💜💜

𝓔𝓭 ⁷

One of the reason I don't go much to comment sections and read other ARMYs comments is because they make me soooo emotional. I'm crying reading these comments here. But I also love seeing how other ARMYs reflect the feelings I have for the boys. I love how they love the same way I love BTS or even more... Thank you so so much my fellow ARMYs who've always been there and will always be there for our 7 Kings. APOBANGPO 💜💜 Happy Festa !

Marsha B

Here's a really interesting fun fact behind the scene, Ben Winston the grammy producer explained how it all happened down to the last minute with jhope testing neg w covid. it was really down to the wire. amazing> here's a podcast and start at 14:13 up to 18:45 when they start talking abt bts. Ben is used to working with bts coz he is the same producer of Corden's late nite show so he knows the talent and professionalism and creativity they can bring. He also knows when to stop talking abt other bts related things or else he knows (army) will get on his case lol (well he didn't mention army but we all know lol) Scroll down to the podcast and start at 14:13 https://www.rollingstone.com/music/music-news/podcast-bts-grammys-producers-interview-behind-the-scenes-1334164/

Zoe Bees_V

I’m guessing Summer’s Bias Wrecker is Jhope and Abby’s bias wrecker is V 😁

SJ

Our boys are amazing and I love how Taehyung is a completely different person on stage. His duality is insane. Not only does he dances well, but he also embodies the lyrics with his facial expressions, which change according to the music, lyrics, vibes, outfits, and concept. just WOW..

L

I love this little detail! It's actually a great metaphor for bts entering the music industry. They are trying to enter but you need an invitation or card to get in. Since the music industry didn't invite them, they stole it from an insider who has a card (Olivia is kinda well known for her industry support, could arguably be considered an industry plant). And then they broke in and replaced what the establishment would traditionally define as "real art" with their own stories and art. Much like how they are redefining music and challenging the prejudice against kpop and boy bands. Such a fun performance with deep interpretations. Very on brand for BTS!

L

I mentioned this in a previous subcomment but if you rewatched the background details, you'll see the paintings in the museum are replaced by graffiti and pictures of BTS's past music. The whole theme and setup is actually a great metaphor for bts entering the music industry. They are trying to enter but you need an invitation or card to get in. Since the music industry didn't invite them, they stole it from an insider who has a card (Olivia is kinda well known for her industry support, could arguably be considered an industry plant). indira lusthoff

great reactions like always! you guys should watch this clip. I'm sure this is the one you want to see practicing in an actual practice room and trying to figure out dance moves. They were trying the day before to go practice but JHope wasn't there to lead them. they were trying to figure out the coat trick and everything. it also shows more from the audience perception. https://youtu.be/Hr1OSHf3S2Q

Amy Botello

I'm sure someone somewhere mentioned this already but after the video you were all talking about how they could have possibly re-done the choreo because Jin wasn't able to to the performance. Something to note about BTS (which is truly one of my favorite things about them) is when one of the members is missing, they don't re-do choreo to fit the moment and they don't replace them member; they keep going as if the member was there. They did it when Suga wasn't there due to his shoulder injury and other times as well. It is truly amazing to see how they don't replace the person, as you can tell by the "hole" in the formations, but rather they honor each other as brothers, co-workers, teammates, and so on. I love that about them and haven't seen another group (ever) to do the same. Also, the hands in the pockets were already in the choreo. Jin being hurt definitely hurt ARMY! Lastly, and GOOD GRIEF, will you PWEASSSEE do a bias video and let us know???!! Bias wreckers too, Summer!!

Lizzie

Hobi is so funny the way he thinks it's SO noticeable when 99% of reactions I've seen, people don't notice it. teehee

Lizzie

It just goes to show that the universe is on the tannie's side cause they still hadn't really perfected the jacket trick even up until the final rehearsals day of the show. They were worried about it but it just kind of magically all fell together and the performance was perfect.

Sue RN

Have they ever revealed their biases? I’m embarrassed to admit I’ve been with CCW since the beginning but can’t remember if they have ever specifically said who they were. 😳🤣 I think Summer said Namjoon and they always say Gabriel is like Yoongi and I feel like Daniel is JK but I am just guessing.

Shafaq

"its kinda like a...actually i don't what it's like" lmfaooo

Guys they're in Vegas..it's a tribute to Oceans Eleven..
