jackncereal

Cassidy

Oh my gosh almost an hour long video? We’re spoiled today! I can’t wait to watch this after work. I’m so excited y’all are finally getting to see the guys on Fallon, so many iconic moments. 🙏🏻💜

ni 🫶🏽

is the video showing up for anyone else? it’s not showing up for me

Zee

I can’t see the vid they’re watching 😭

Min Jiyoon

Its 1minute late. Daniel forgot to put the video in front 😂

Dani

I got the reference. Sorry Abby and summer 😂

Abigail CCW

No one reads our posts guys 😂 they’re all asking where the video is. Just give us 90 seconds to realize 😉🤪

Maritza Islas

For reference on time frame, the boys came to the states to film a bunch of promo stuff before MOTS7 was set to release... and that's when we started getting word that covid was spreading into the states. After they got back to Korea is basically when everything shut down for everyone (Im editing this to say, I remember them being in the states for a long time because of the fact they were filming mvs, filming promos...and all that for MOTS7. Both versions of ON and Black Swan were filmed in LA, where they also filmed with James Corden and then they flew to NY for Fallon... then they left back to Seoul and we got shut down)

Maritza Islas

That said my covid timeline is all one big blur.

LouCas27

I am not a Jimmy fan, but to be fair, he’s respectful and has excellent interactions with the guys. ✌️🏻💜

Raevan21

Currently trying to figure out how to enjoy it at work, lol

Jenna

so excited to watch this! will probably do it in my lunch break! 😆

boraveena

This was the 2nd or 3rd time that they went to Jimmy Fallon.. Those first ones were in his studio.. Jimmy is currently the only "Army approved" host 🤭.. Check out the special performances BTS did for Fallon during the pandemic, they were epic!!

Infinite Ree

Great reaction as always! Hopefully you guys will check out the ON dance practice for this performance as well.

Ali Shackleton

loved this reaction!!!! Jimmy is so genuine with BTS which is why I love all of their interactions!! :)

Rochelle Araga

If you like at clock behind the dancers during the setup, they were performing at around 3:20 in the morning

Chloe

I like this format!! Hope you do it more for future reactions.

M bat78

Are you going to do other docuseries like bring the soul and break the silence?

zaphyre

I find it so funny whenever you guys are confused about the interviewers understanding the boys because I feel like it's pretty obvious that they would have measures in place so that they can actually communicate LMAO but it does make for some funny bits in the reactions!

jackncereal

Guys they actually do have a lot of interviews with Jimmy Fallon that are really funny and enjoyable so I hope one day you’ll check those out too

Kearyce Moore

They have done interviews with Jimmy Fallon before the pandemic happen and after other than this one

Maritza Islas

OH and ON was filmed at like 3-4am or something.

Maritza Islas

If and when yall travel to Korea you will be SHOCKED by the subway system and underground shopping area. They are so clean, they DO have bathrooms. I was amazed. HUGE contrast to NY subways lol

LSD_02

This was so good! Lovely surprise!

Katja S.

I hope they will watch them too

Ailaudy93

During that time (Jan/fev 2020) they filmed the 2 On MVs and the black swan one, they practiced and filmed the dance practices, they came to the Grammies where they performed with Lil Nas X…. They were pretty busy

Cherie Partin

this was filmed right before covid hit here they basically got back home right as the world shut down, they actually closed grand central station for this performance! and they do in fact have sit down interviews with jimmy it was back in 2019 for Idol in the love myself era...jimmy is a HUGE fan especially of Jimin lol thats why he always hugs him...

RG_1015

i still remember that time when i ordered my album as my bday gift to myself and we're all excited for that era but then covid came and it was such a shame that one of their should be biggest tour and concerts were all cancelled.. but still a lot of achievements and first happened afterwards so i am still happy.. now i am missing so much thosr times where all bts as a group were ptomoting and performing.. can't wait for 2025, 2026 to come faster

NicoleW

You guys were so proud of JK like I did when he said English fluently.🥹I was so emotional 🥲JK’s English just so cute! My heart has been melted.

DeGr_97

"Zoom Olympics" and "Dance your feelings" are hilarious as well :D

Lisa M T

Poor Summer was so wiped out at the end..."You do you Boo." 🤣🤣🤣

Lisa M T

It starts late

Lyz

Wow! Such an incredible surprise! Thank you!!!!!!!

Lisa M T

The NY metro subway runs 24 hours a day.

Thayná Vieira

Jimmy is so welcoming, the boys feel very comfortable with him and I see that an incredible friendship has been created. I love Jimmy's sense of humor. 🥹💖

LE

I’m with Daniel and Gabriel. I got the Mary Poppins reference immediately! 😂😂 Loved the reaction guys. 💜

Witsend

I enjoyed this so much! I wish your admins had added one more short video of Jimmy Fallon talking about BTS. He is soooo impressed with them.

genevieve higuera

There is a video on the production of on. It shows the involvement of UCLA's marching band. The use of a famous African American Choir from Los Angeles for that anazing choir background. As the guys are soooo into music production I think you would love it, and even if you aren't able to do a reaction try to watch just for your personal enjoyment Daniel and Gabriel.💜

Anija

Yes when they get to the “On” era on Tuesdays they should react to that video!!!!

Anija

Looking at these videos you can’t tell bts are the biggest band on the planet 😂😂 so down to earth it’s crazy

ririaeri

Gabriel clapping to jungkook speaking english is so meeee everytime he does something!!😂😂😂 hilarious love it

jada

I think the "It's tiiiimee" thing Abby was talking about in the beginning was a meme of Mariah Carey singing that like 2 octaves higher with her Santa gear on, ready for yet another season of department stores blasting "All I Want For Christmas Is You" 😭

Abigail CCW

Omggggg yeesss! 🙌🏼🙌🏼

Tk

Lol i read it too, but the 90 seconds felt forever. I was feeling like a third wheel 😂😂

Rasha

BTS went several times at Jimmy Fallon, first they went to the studio performing Idol and I’m fine. Then they did the ones you just saw February 2020. And a full BTS week during Covid when they performed 6 times, did 2 interviews and 2 games live from Korea. Also, Youngi and Jimin went to promote their albums there

Andrew Hitchcock

More of this please!!! Their talk show moments are amazing!

kokomelon

jungkook's english has improved so much as of recent! he's been doing interviews in english all by himself and he's been killin it

Rokm_

This was so good! Thank you guys for giving On a little bit more of love. The On - Map of the Soul era is a sore spot for us and for them because they couldn’t perform the song in front of us when they release because of COVID. They prepared a huge tour that would be The Map of The Soul Tour and just by watching the performance at Jimmy Fallon you could tell it was going to be even bigger and more amazing on stage in the concert. When it was announced that the tour had to be postponed and then cancelled the guys and Army got devastated, frustrated, because MOTS: 7 truly was a reflection of the member’s souls put on the album. It remains one of my favorite albums to this day, with On and Black Swan being some of my favorite songs ever.

ada

enjoyed the pivot! wouldn't mind the occasional detour 🤭

Tanya perez

The woman you hear in the background during their "ON" is the choreographer Sienna Lalau. I think she was only around 19yrs old when she did this. She is amazing and has done choreo for other Kpop artist She and her dancers toured with BTS during their "Permission To Dance" concerts and "Lalapalooza" with JHOPE. In the official "ON" MV, she is the one out front when the video starts.😊

Tanya perez

YES! I loved that documentary. I know they would really love it and appreciate the heartfelt stories and the behind the scenes music producing. It's a MUST WATCH.😀

Lana

Their first Jimmy Fallon interview was in the studio in 2018! (pls correct me if I'm wrong lol). Army was definitely present in the audience haha but they charmed everyone in the room that day. I think they have 2 other studio interviews. This promo you just watched on Jimmy Fallon to me really shows how big they got coz they went from a studio audience to making sure they shut down THE Grand Central Station for BTS. Few months after this they dedicated a whole week to BTS. Really appreciate and love this reaction!!

justsarah

I absolutely love Jimmy Fallon. He's my favorite late night show host, and definitely my favorite when it comes to interviewing and hanging out with BTS.

Vera Basler

Idol promotions had them interviewed on set with Jimmy. Before you watch that, though, I would suggest watching the making of BT21, so you understand the headband thing!

🍭

They were here in the US for a good month or so to film and do promo (I think it was between Jan/Feb). Both "ON" videos (the MV and Come Prima) were filmed here. I remember bc Covid had started popping up in South Korea while they were here and I had thought "well at least they'll be safe while they're here". After they had gone back stuff started shutting down here in March. I believe it was around the end of February when they had to postpone the tour (which was eventually cancelled altogether).

🍭

Also, ABBY! I have the same Aly&Aj shirt! I commented it on the Black Swan video too yesterday 😂😂

Tammy S

This was filmed in early February 2020 - right before the whole world kind of shut down in March. The terminal is closed from 2am to 5:15am. BTS arrived at midnight, along with the backup dancers and were basically kept “hidden” from the public and given separate rooms/areas to practice in. Then when the terminal closed at 2am, they were given until 4am to set everything up/do their filming/remove everything. They have been on Fallon other times, both as a group and as individuals (Jimin and Suga) and those interviews/performances took place in the studio in front of a live audience. Then, of course, there was also the BTS week that happened during the pandemic where they sent in performances from Korea. This just happened to be a New York themed episode (hence the ‘Subway Stories’ from celebs that played throughout.) So it had more of a special episode feel to it.

lupita

they do play with the editing! i saw jimin on the jimmy fallon show back in march! and sitting next to him was a translator, therefore jimmy would ask the questions, the translator would translate, jimin would respond and as he was responding jimmy would be "reacting" and then the translator would translate (: it was such a sweet interaction prior because jimin said to him "my english is bad" and jimmy was like "don't worry buddy we're family"! even off camera jimmy is very sweet and friendly!

LoriG

There are several in studio interviews you should check out in order to see how their relationship with Jimmy evolved over the years. He is a big supporter and fan. 💜

BRENDA MURPHY

ON at Grand Central was also my intro to BTS, it being the first every video I have watched... and it was really just out of curiousity since GCT was my station (Metro North trains) when i lived in NY. Since then,, I had reasearched them and i got hooked!

VALERIE MORAN

I'm sure others have commented but it's the same crew from the MV I believe

VALERIE MORAN

I think you all would REALLY appreciate the ON docufilm. It is right up your alley, 100%. It shows how the song and album came to be basically and their team up with the music/production/dance crews in LA

Jenny

Yes V was quieter here and throughout most of the winter award shows and promotions as he was going through some things. He speaks about it a little on in the soop and when he explains his thoughts when writing blue & gray. We could feel it as a fanbase but luckily he began to feel better a month or so after this.

Su

That’s the same crew from the kinetic manifesto MV

OnaNikki

? Here comes the boy… Welcome~ With verbrato🎶🎶🎶 🤷🏻‍♀️

DzulGM

Ustedes de verdad son super chistosos JAJAJAJA Tengo riéndome con lo de Marvel (Yondu) como 15 min y eso no me deja avanzar a ver la reacción de BTS JAJAJA

Jenny

I loved this video! I'm glad you guys were able to watch Jimmy interact with BTS 💜

minicookieot7

This was so fun! There are many more BTS on Fallon videos... would love to see you guys do a part 2 and react to more! ESPECIALLY SUGA playing the imposter challenge and the will it fit game lol

Rae Avilez

Note to self, Summer talking in thug is my new favorite Summer lol!!!

MJ

Awww I get kind of emotional watching this because it has such bittersweet memories attached! This promotional period was so exciting and full of promise for the start of MOTS7. We had new content, videos, interviews, teasers like every few days. You could tell how hard they were working and how much they wanted to show everything to us! And then everything got shut down and postponed and then cancelled. As I’m sure you’ve heard, they kept coming on vlive and keeping us company through that tough time and Dyna & BE came in the latter part of the year. I’m glad y’all got to enjoy this as whole piece!

Maya001

This was so fun!! There is sooo many more videos with Fallon and BTS I hope u eventually get to them all! The games are always fun and there are also interviews. Plus Jimin and Yoongi have done solo interview/performances with Fallon. 💜

Venita Morse

The "It's tiiiime" I think it from "Despicable Me 2", Lucy says it and the Yondu imitation was hilarious...lol this was not their first time on Jimmy Fallon. The others before this were filmed at the studio and they are all fun to watch. I love the Forte nite dance challenge they did. Jimmy fallon has always been so good with the guys. Also, it was Jimin and Suga that went on Jimmy Fallon to promote their solo albums. I was hoping JK would too but with the strike still going on I don't think that is going to happen 😪 this was fun, it is always nice going back to watch theses.

Mia24

Y’all are so cute and funny! I enjoy watching you sooo much. My favorite BTS talk show appearance is always Jimmy Fallon. He’s so warm and welcoming and seems to truly love them. Was sad the writers strike kept Jung Kook and V from appearing because I’m sure he would have promoted their solo work too.

Danielle Carr

Jimmy Fallon said that when he hugged JK after the performance he could feel JK's heart beating so hard through his back.

Danielle

ON was performed on Feb 25, 2020. Grand Central Station was rented in the early morning hours 2-4 am by NBC for The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon for BTS and in promotion of their Map of the Soul 7 album. The boys were definitely in awe of the grandeur of the location, they spoke of it often since in interviews as the coolest shoot location. In their earlier years around 2015-16, when asked what their dream was as a young boy, RM was office worker, Suga was songwriter Jhope was always a Tennis Player, having Won 3rd place in Tennis when in middle school, Jin Actor, Jimin a Policeman, V because his family were well-off he had resigned to being a strawberry farmer, JK pro-gamer.

Adrcp

Jimmy Fallon tb les hizo una entrevista y unos juegos en el plató no se si en esa época o antes cuando ganaron por primera vez los American Awards pero tb fue muy divertida…

Emmy

Which part?? I want to re-watch lol

Jenn Diaz

The "it's time" bit is similar to the tiktok soundbyte of a lady saying "here comes the boooooy". It's was all over the place a while back.

Rae Avilez

At the end, that's what Daniel says lol

Elise

u said V seemed so quiet.. this period he was very bad mentally and struggled a lot, he wrote blue and grey around these times, and he has talked about it in magazine interviews and stuff... so i'm really happy we see how much happier he is now🤍

gigi

I'm glad y'all watched this it was so much fun!! i hope you watch their interviews with Jimmy Fallon as well <3

carlagirl7 .

I feel bad as this was not the best....There is so much more Jimmy X BTS content that you guys would like!

Sina Yazzie

We never got the chance to see the full rundown of MOTS bc of Covid 😭 I lost my MOTS tickets to Corona 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

HYT

This was SO CLOSE to the bgining of Covid. It literally marks for me the start of everything. I rememeber feeling so bad for them because they were just startning ON promotions and averything looked so promising for US marketing, and I felt sorry for myself too because I wanted to see them taking the world by storm so badly, and right after this everyting just shut down. In a way, I am still a bit sorry because they did took the world by storm with dynamite, way harder. but dynamite is not ON - and half the world still doesn't know what it's missing.

minicookieot7

That little synchronized head sway yall did at 34:08 was adorable

Alwena Willis

I will be there in Five days, yeh! 💜

Kearyce Moore

I remember that so much too but I'm glad he's smiling again😊💜

THi

This brings back so many sad memories. It was an exciting time. They were doing so much and the dance practices of On and Black Swan out of LA were so great. All ARMY was so excited. And...I had great tickets for MOTS7. Who knew that a few weeks after this scrutiny would change. I held on to those tickets as long as they let us, just hoping something would change. Sadness.

BRENDA MURPHY

Same, I still call it Grand Central Station even though they are now referred to as Grand Central Terminal. BTS performing there made it even more meaningful for me. I was amazed how they pulled it off coz I have been at GC past midnight waiting for the last train out, and there were still many people around,

Tyler

omg the fortnite dance challenge is one of the funniest ones!! shows their close relationship with jimmy a little and more fun but it’s a short video. ❤️

Minh

Hope you were able to go to the Permission to Dance concert at SoFi stadium

Ahjusshi_Brown

“It’s tiiiiiime” is from Mariah Carey. She made a video abt Christmas season coming near and that it was almost time for “All I Want for Christmas” to come back on the charts and then it became a meme 😂😂 you probably heard it on TikTok or ig reels

Ahjusshi_Brown

No Daniel, MAMA is actually pronounced “Mama” we’ve just been letting you say “M.A.M.A.” slide all this time 😂😂

Nina 1995

They reacted to all of On era EXCEPT the Documentary?! Omg

Allie

These were the videos that made me ARMY!!! They’re so good and so funny

BtsOT79798

I don't know if you noticed but in the lead up to JK's high notes the members are standing in age order where they each walked away to reveal jk!

Catching up on stuff I've missed since joining...did anyone get Gabriel's movie quote @ 32:05? I got you bro 👊🏼... Jackie Chan in Rush Hour. The bloopers at the end of the movie of him messing up that line, funny stuff 😆

TheEmpurpler⁷

FYi, this video is back on YouTube on the Tonight Show's official YT page!

rainydayswithv

i'm a silent primo (who recently just got here on patreon) (and yea this is a 2 year late comment, i know) but i got the compelling urge to comment and say, i screamed 'HEY YONDU SAID THAT" when y'all first imitated yondu's line "i'm mary poppins y'all" hehehehehehe i'm an avid marvel fan, thanks ok bye.
