That's so funny; where I am in Australia, I've only seen people eating them as savoury side dishes, fries/roast/mash, etc or just with butter/plain as a snack. I never considered eating them as a dessert, but it makes sense. I am not sure how I feel about it yet, though I guess I'll have to try it before I judge 😅😂

It must be an American thing to have sweet potatoes as a sweet dish because i've only heard Americans have it as a dessert with marshmallow. Were I'm from we have sweet potato savoury as a soup, plain by itself with salt and pepper, as fries, mash. It sounds interesting you guys have it with marshmallows

In America, we enjoy both sweet and savory with sweet potato. I don’t personally like sweet potato at all, but here we use it for pretty much everything nowadays. Sweet potato fries, soup, donuts, pies, you name it lol

Thanks. That's interesting. It seems to much of a weird combo for me to have it sweet because I've only ever had it savoury. Maybe I should try it for myself.

how do you all cook them to be savory???? i have done it but haven't loved it, probs need to do better flavor combos. here in america sweet potato casserole is a standard holiday bake, and we lie to ourselves that its a "casserole" because a vegetable is in it. its just butter, brown sugar, adn sweet potato with marshmallows on top, roasted. but i also like to roast sweet potato with pear (or apple) and honey.

It's so interesting how different countries/cultures go about eating the same things! For the chips/roasted, I'm basic and go for olive oil, garlic, paprika, rosemary/thyme salt and pepper. The most common way I eat them is as a mash, which is probably exactly what you imagine 😂 just butter, sour cream, milk, garlic, salt and pepper. I often make the mash to go with salmon and add some lime juice, which is a fairly common pairing, at least around me, but there are so many ways/seasoning options!! I highly recommend but im biased 😅.

Marshmallows on sweet potatoes is AWFUL. It's a bad Thanksgiving dish. I NEVER make that recipe.

Thank you! I am sure Leeh just found it funny, but...They have all shared beds/ rooms at some point over the ten years. Everyday friends share beds for sleepovers or travel (hotel beds), so the fact that people overreact when it is V and Tae is really weird. It screams "I don't have friends" lol

Right, I was just saying how I always laugh with that scene where V and JK are sleeping together but backwards, that scene cracks me, I just meant it. I'm an army for 8 years now, I never found it strange they sleeping together, i love how comfortable they are with each other

Daniel saying he gets stressed when Namjoon losses something is so true. I think it was a 2019 VLive Namjoon did & he started talking about losing his passport on BV 1. He also brought up the fact that he had lost 33 pairs of airpods at that time, I can't imagine how many he's lost by now.
