Great reaction homies! Btw healing potions doesn't work on the three prisoners so Diablo just heald the king the same way he did with the other two (By reconstructing their body) and just plugged the healing potions to them. Didn't actually use it... Basically Shion used her unique skill Master Chef on them and made that distorted form their "actually body". Healing potions restorce the body, but since now that their "original" form is what Shion made them to be, healing alone cannot restore that.

Just.. be prepared for a LOT of just talking in the next many episodes before it starts taking off

Good reaction. I am glad you appreciate the pacing. Unfortunately, there will be other episodes where the exposition will be in other settings. I really don’t know why that person said that Season 4 will be the second part of Season 2. If I had to pinpoint a Part 2 of Season 2, I would put that in Season 5. Master Chef has two parts, Optimal Action and Guaranteed Results. It’s the second one that can alter reality. She finds the optimal action to do the impossible, the one chance in a million, and repeats it until we have guaranteed results. Can Rimuru get drunk? This topic will be covered this season. Why was Diablo there? First, in order to go to Rimuru during Walpurgis, Veldora had the sense at least to make sure someone was protecting Tempest, as Rimuru had asked him to. But since the reason was only to get the final manga volume, Rimuru was pissed. Notice that Diablo, while sticking to the letter of the contract, he still (deliberately?) managed to get Veldora into trouble by being completely honest. Diablo’s Tempter Unique Skill will be further explored later, but for now, it is very similar to Merciless. If the person capitulates to it, Diablo can monitor their souls, from location to whether they have any thoughts of betrayal. If he does detect any such thing, he can claim their soul. It’s a type of contract. Razen wants good treatment for the king, so he agreed to the exchange. The others agreed because they acknowledged that they were helpless before Diablo. Now he, the king, and the archbishop can be trusted. A scene rarely discussed is when Razen explained his view of Rimuru. Outsiders are sometimes the best way to see what is so special about Rimuru. You could say the monsters see the same thing, but it’s easily explained away as gratitude or something similar. The humans who encounter him have a different pov, where Rimuru seems almost godlike, and his appearance emphasizes it even more, while at the same time making his actions seem paradoxical (an angel of destruction?). Razen is saying that Rimuru’s ability to resurrect all those people was fleeting, but it’s also true that Rimuru, or Raphael really, retains some of that knowledge. The situation was unique in that it happened at a time when the World is helping, when gifts are given out. I don’t think that Rimuru is speaking as Raphael, I think Rimuru is saying what he wants to after discussing it with Raphael. It does happen quickly, it’s true. But often Raphael is just confirming what Rimuru is already thinking. At this point the relationship between them is more of a collaboration than before. Raphael is able to do more complicated analyses, but I think we need to remember that Raphael is Rimuru’s Skill, it is him in a way. It’s not like Raphael does all Rimuru’s thinking for him.

Would you prefer me to send Slime lore video links or just the titles? Also Aninews was actually dropping bi-weekly slime Cut content episodes for S3 so Aninews has lore videos that specifically go along with episodes after you watch them, just like he's currently doing for solo leveling. So even after episode 1 of S3 we have his "How DIABLO Broke The Kingdom & Turned RIMURU Into a Disaster Class Demon Lord | TENSURA EXPLAINED" No spoilers and only talks about S3 ep 1 information. But If you want to start from the beginning let me know and I will create a whole List of watch order. BTW This season is the worst when it comes to the talking, at the end you explained why you liked the talking this episode, well they do end up doing exactly what you said you liked them not doing.

I just loved the way that while Yoam is trying to explain what the kingdom had done Diablo was behind him fuming and he didn't see. Everyone else in the group was trying to get the Nobels to shut up. that was great. This looks like it's going to be a fun start to the season.

myst0dreamer

I think it’s because Youm is fully human and the others aren't. Humans aren't so sensitive to magical vibes.

myst0dreamer

I forgot a couple of things. First, the noble who looked like George Washington was one of the ones they talked about last season, where Fuze said there were a couple of Falmuth nobles related to the King of Blumund, who could be of help to them. The other thing was that Rimuru didn't think Milim shouldn't drink because she was too young, but because he worried what kind of out-of-control rampage she might go on if she got drunk.

theheck

That definitely makes sense now. I can imagine a drunken Milim might be more than a handful for all of em haha.

Kcosta

Aninews is goated for all those style videos tbh

A bit late to watch your reaction, but while I really like the first half of Season 3, the second half doesn't disappoint at all and feels even better for me. I love the intro, love the story arc, the animation looks a lot smoother somehow which is astonishing, and there wasn't a single episode where I felt bored or felt a lack of interest.

Daniel Meissner

loved your last point. I see a lot of people online discredit Rimuru by saying Raphael actually deserves the credit and she does everything for him, but they seem to forget Raphael is RIMURU'S POWER!!! Just because she talks to him doesn't mean she isn't Rimuru's power. If Raphael did not speak to him, Rimuru would still be able to do everything he does now, it would just be more direct. Instead of him seemingly asking Raphael to do something or asking Raphael for information, he would just do the thing he wants to do or already know the thing he wants to know.

myst0dreamer

Good point right back at you, that if it weren't for Raphael speaking, it would just appear to us to be Rimuru doing it! Raphael’s power of Parallel Processing is doing two things at once, it's the same as if Rimuru's brain is partitioned, multitasking. From the beginning, almost, we learn that a slime does not sleep, because all his cells are capable of doing every job in the body. It's as if, in slimes, differentiation is not a thing.

myst0dreamer

Looks like you already read my comment, but I edited it after you liked it.

Daniel Meissner

Exactly! I actually wouldn't be surprised if Fuse originally just intended Great Sage and Raphael to be literary devices that give us readers information by having the skills communicate actions and analyses it to Rimuru instead of it just happening, yknow? But then obviously the fact that the skill speaks turns into a much bigger deal down the line lol
