Yes, cook it!

Lawrence Flower

My favourite sauce is Japanese curry done as a pour over sauce. As far as cooking that would be great. There is a YouTuber who does eat for a day on food from different anime. Sorry I cant remember the channel but worth watching.

Lawrence Flower

Yes Japanese convenience stores are dangerous, did you try “saki in a cup”?

Edward Lott

The Heck cooking show? The would be hilarious! Or awesome! or both! Heck yes!

theheck

Japanese curry sauce is definitely something I want to try!

theheck

Thank you!! We're totally going to try and figure it out!

Mangaman

I agree. Trying to cook some of these recipes would be awesome. Personally I prefer to use rock sea salt in a grinder to regular salt. lemon pepper is something I like to add to different foods. It is really good on fresh cut cucumbers. I love going to craft shows and picking up new seasonings. I found these candied jalapeños that I just had to try from the name. It has cayenne and jalapeños candied with cranberries. Still hot but sweet. Great by themselves or in a sandwich

Yes please, cooking episodes! That would be so fun to watch. Imo doesn't *always* have to be directly from this or any show though.

Cerulean Spectre

great reaction and i would love to try all the food they are showing

Hhound42

Yes! The Heck doing an anime cooking show? Hell yeah! Start cooking!

Spiritstrike

I'd kill for you to make the food of the show! I'd watch it!

scott Carter

hell yeah i'd watch you make dishes. just don't poison yourselves in the process. lol. i'd say my favorite is fresh garlic.

Edward Lott

Smoked paprika is awesome! Also I like to add salsa! You would be surprised at how many things it goes with. Also thyme, rosemary and paprika. It depends on what I am cooking.

theheck

Dang!! Those candied jalapenos sound so freaking good! I love things like that. Finding new seasonings and spices is so rad! Can't remember the brand name off the top of my head but there's a seasoning called Honey Killer Bee and it is amazing!

theheck

Haha yeah gotta watch out for the self-inflicted poisoning! But dang fresh garlic is such a staple on my end too! Love me some garlic.

theheck

Yesss glad to find another smoked paprika enthusiast! I feel like salsa is definitely an underrated sauce of sorts. I wanna try some more recipes using salsa soon!

Edward Lott

I use salsa on scrambled eggs, omelets, hamburgers, meatloaf, stuffed peppers, pork & rice bowls, baked beans, salsa rice, jambalaya, spaghetti [and lots of other pasta dishes], in place of tomato sauces on pizzas, in chili, as the base for soups and ground turkey taco taco bowls.

myst0dreamer

I hate to admit it but ketchup is the most common thing I add to stuff.

Aztorath NightSoul

I add graded ginger to any pork I eat with honey and red peppers

theheck

Haha ain't nothing wrong with some good ol ketchup though. Also a really good base for other sauce combinations!

theheck

Ginger is something I definitely want to learn more about cooking wise. That sounds delicious though!

Aztorath NightSoul

Ginger give a tangi spice to pork. I love to pair it with honey or pineapple juice. And red peppers. Let the pork marinate with salt, and ground red pepper. For about 28 to 32 hours so the meat can get tender then gril it or smoke it and it's good with rice or in a sandwich with letuces and salted tomatos

Kcosta

Silly and fantastic

Favorite slept on is celery powder- Grew up in Rhode Island (smallest us state) and we have hotdogs we call wieners and dress like chilli dogs The reason they’re so good is celery powder on the onions But it works fucking everywhere

YES! A Heck cooking segment would be the most amazing addition to your channel! - My mother's Sicilan, if I don't say garlic I'll never be allowed back into the house. 😅 - I'm stress cook/baker, so I'm constantly trying new spices, herbs, and seasonings. One of the more surprising finds I have made is Sumac, absolutely delicious especially with Mediterranean food. 🤤 - If you're looking for something different for a side dish try 2 pats of butter (2 tbsp), a shake of salt and 2-4 shakes of DRIED MINT on steamed broccoli. It sounds weird AF, but I swear by it! Any kid that has ever tried it never complained about eating their vegetables again. - For sweet treats a hint of clove goes a long way. It adds a depth to the sweet and often people try to parse it out but usually settle on, 'I don't know what it is... but I'll take 3 more.' So I call it a general winner. If you're looking for a lighter/fresher taste for sweets try a small amount (read about 1/8 - 1/4tsp) of cardamon. It has a natural apple herb flavor. 🩷💛🩵

Indian here, cant live without our spices. So this thing would be such a benefitial skill to have. Tho i have been loving marinating my chicken with soy sauce and galric and then searing them with some cornstarch to make a little bit of slurry with the chicken and then eating it on rice. Oh also some honey in the marinade can go wonders.
