I think that when you're deciding on new anime to check out I think you should look at different genres, that way you guys get to see a wide variety of anime. I've noticed that the same isekai's, light fantasy and shonen win polls on every reaction channel. It would be great to see you guys with a wide variety of shows making you more unique.

LET THE SILLINESS BEGIN!!! And friendships. And really odd things happening to Maple. A lot.

Sean Gordon

Geat reaction as always guys and just liking you know that opening was from the first season the next episode has opening the new one

I love your bofuri reactions, glad your back with season 2 💜 , exuded for more💜 if you want to watch anime with overpovered female lead i really suggest to check out Kuma Kuma Kuma Bear i think you would love it just like bofuri 😊

Just a heads up, the opening for the first episode was the same as Season 1, it changes next episode to adapt to the new season though. What I really love about this anime is the fact that none of the characters is inherently evil or a douchebag. All it's about is some friendly competition, and Maple finding a way to become friends with even the most hardcore players. It's refreshing to see an anime about gaming that doesn't include someone who tries to undermine others simply because they want to win more, when they lose, they take the loss and see it as a sign that they need to improve themselves. It's funny that you bring up the Moderate Harlequin Alliance (the jesters from Slime), Chris, because the voice actress for Maple is the voice actress for Tear, one of the Harlequins.

Not sure if anyone has recommended this re: Bofuri but you guys may like Gun Gale Online. It's got a similar vibe but with a shooting game. It's not as whimsical as Bofuri and has some drama and intense moments, but it checks a lot of the same boxes: online VR gaming, clans fighting other clans; gaming tatics. Fun show, there are two seasons It is a spin off of Sword Art Online, but you don't need to have seen that to enjoy the show, (I haven't) the connections are pretty tenuous from a narrative standpoint, it's more of a shared world thing.

I knew it sounded familiar, so next episode we'll watch the intro on that one to make up for it haha

theheck

Heck yeah! We're stoked to get back into it!! Bofuri has it's own vibe for sure!

Sean Gordon

Haha it’s good, but honestly, I didn’t mind since honestly it had been a while since I heard the first opening so hearing it again was not entirely a bad thing because of how good it was

theheck

That is so wild about the voice actress for Maple being the same as Tear! I love it haha. And for real Bofuri is so wholesome and still brings incredible battles as well! It's a great combo!

theheck

That's definitely a unique concept being a shooter game instead of swords and sorcery. I like it. We'll have to look into that one sometime!

a fun series that you guy's would enjoy is Shrangrila Frontier. Similiar vibes to Bofuri, but from the perspective of just very skilled but weirdo gamers.

Hitomi Ochiai

I hear Shangila Frontier has copyright Issues on YouTube, but safe on Patreon. But it is an amazing show. Can't wait for next season.

animeLover

Yeah that is a great anime choice too. It is a spinoff of sword art online(SAO). You may also like the Shangri-la Frontier. A great anime also, same theme with VR game. .
