Might be fun to watch the opening after the last episode and try a see how many of the spoilers you can pick up. It is a lot by the way. People were not lying. Also about your question about how long it has been. When Rudeus slept with Eris, he was 13. That was a short time after his fight with Orsted. He is 16 at this point so it has been about 3 years.

** No real spoilers below, just answers to your question about the Chapters and Clarification of Things the Anime Didn't Make Clear ** I think that is pretty close to the reveal in the light novel with Elinalise - although I think they did show a flashback of Sylphie with her father Laws, where he discussed his mother. The only real clue was the similarity of the pendants since Sylphie said she based it off one her father treasured and Elinalise showed hers to Rudy when she first met him. I really felt bad for Elinalise in this scene, because we always thought she was ok with the curse, but she says "Your grandmother would never be a whore like me" - revealing she really sees herself as dirty although it's not her fault. It just shows that Cliff is best boy as he swears again to help her, even though his religion hates her behavior. As for the Luke duel, we only think Rudy is weak because of who he had to spar against - Paul who is advanced in all 3 styles, Ghislaine who is a Sword King, Eris who is a sword prodigy, and Ruijerd who is an absolute badass who was a captain of the demon forces in the war 400 years ago (all mentioned in the anime). Luke was decked out in magical equipment and his magic sword to make him stronger and Rudy still beat him without magic, even if he did have some help with his Eye of Foresight, but we've seen the others could still beat him because even seeing the future he couldn't move as fast as them. I didn't truly understand what they thought it proved though, since if he could have used magic he would have killed Luke instantly (like dropping him into the ground) and he would have magic in a real fight to protect Sylphie.
