This hasn't really been covered in the anime but it often confuses people and it's not really a spoiler as given the nature it's not likely to ever be added to the anime, but the curse isn't so much about the sex. Toys won't work because she needs the male "fluid" itself, which her body then converts into mana and she actually produces mana crystals. Mana crystals are extremely valuable as they can power circles and devices without needing a mage. Before Rudeus started helping her Nanahoshi spent a fortune on crystals for her experiments which are what we saw in those jars in her room. This is also why Elinalise is always fantastically wealthy since the crystals sell for a fortune. The "chastity belt" is mean to resemble more like a diaper or underwear (still embarrassing but he's refining it) but Rudy can charge it with mana and her body can absorb it slowly without sex to keep the worst of the effects at bay for a while. Eventually Cliff wants to be able to imbue the curse into an object permanently, like LaPlace did when he moved his curse into the spears he gave the Superd.

Yes, it was the succubus putting out a magical toxin that affected Rudeus (or rather males in general) - you saw the pink mist hit him before he reached for Elinalise, it's why she said to "detoxify yourself" so he would cast healing magic to remove it.

If you are curious about the succubus, I can tell you what was left out of the books. So, originally, the succubus were contained to a small portion of the continent, but Laplace spread them all over during the war to mess with humans. The succubus have a pheromone that is similar to a toxin that drives males crazy. The only way to cure it is to use detoxification magic like Rudeus does or have a partner relieve you. There is actually a whole desert culture where parties of warriors and adventurers have to have designated female party members to help deal with this stuff. The phenomone is enticing to men but smells horrible to women. The bewitching effect is so strong that Rudeus actually would have died there if not for Elinalise. There was actually quite a bit skipped in this episode and the journey was a small arc all by itself with many more characters and events.
