I can tell your down bad for Bondrewd. You and your terrible desires for Bondrewd. lol Of course I mean down bad in a different way!

I personally feel like chaotic neutral best describes Bondrewd. The relic Zoaholic dilutes the consciousness and he also used himself to create his white whistle. Much of Bondrewd's mind has been ground down, so it is hard to say whether or not he is actually evil. He did genuinely care for the kids, but that distinction if morality isn't there. He cares about them yet he uses them.

Your reactions and thoughts were pretty much exactly the same. Re-watching this is nearly as difficult. I am crushed right now not as badly as before. Thank you.

If you think things can’t get worse….

It's been foreshadowed, but from my experience almost no reactors take that in mind, that this whole island civilization takes a little purge every 2000 years, and Bon-boy scientific research was conducted to try and somehow counter that - meaning he is a good boy, because he does not want for his people to become "praying skeletons" from ep 1 and few after

Honestly, Bondrewd is such a fascinating character. He's a scientist who loves his children, but is willing to kill them in order to advance science and allow for everyone to descend/ascend without dying. Those cartridges are horrifying, but if the research allows cave raiders to freely come back to the city after attempting a "Last Dive", it could change everything. Plus, a number of other discoveries were said to have been found by him that have helped the city and Cave Raiders. To me, he seems like a Lawful Evil character who will sacrifice even his own life as long as it is in the best interest of society. He has a code, but it is one that is completely alien to society's morals.
