which performances should I prioritize for my next watch? these were so cool and I can't wait to see more live stages and fancams from them...

I think its usually a mix of live vocals and backing track but seventeen usually sing live even if its under the track

Anonymous

Comback shows !!

Star

i said this last time but yeah mcountdown is definitely a 50/50 with how they do live vocals, especially earlier they really didn't let people sing live

Chloe

I feel like most members and carats call all of them a mix of their stage names and real names so its more what feels more comfy :) like for dk they almost never call him by his real name anymore but there are plenty of carats who do. I usually call minghao either minghao or Myungho (his korean name, the members mostly call him this now) but I also call him by the8 sometimes so I think its up to you :))

Star

i think international carats mostly call the8 as minghao, but yes svt calls him myungho 명호

To help you out a bit, I compiled some stages (mostly comeback stages) and tried my best to specifically choose those with prominent live vocals - feel free to use this as a reference. Short disclaimer: This isn't a complete list and ofc it doesn't mean that other stages aren't live or not worth checking out. I also tried to only pick one stage each (and failed sometimes oops). Hopefully it’s still somewhat helpful 🧡 In no particular order: Left & Right @ Heng:garae comeback show 200622 (on Mnet K-POP Channel) Home @ Music Bank 190208 _World @ M Countdown 220221 (though they're all similarly good) Oh My! @ Music Bank 180720 / Music Bank 180803 (both equally good) Home;Run @ M Countdown 201029 (highly recommend M Countdown 201022 too for the very theatrical performance) Hit @ the Ellen show 2021 (Hit was a prerelease in 2019, has a mv) Cheers @ MTV We Make Music 2022 Snap Shoot @ Show Music Core 190921 (not the best camera work unfortunately so it's worth checking out other stages or the dance practice) (this is a b-side, has a special mv that Mingyu made) Anyone @ Music Bank 210618 (this is a b-side, has a performance mv) Thanks + Getting Closer @ KBS Song Festival 181228; for Getting Closer Music Bank in Hong Kong (190223) is good too (it was a prerelease, has a mv) Crush @ KBS Song Festival 2021 (this is a b-side) Fear @ MBC Show Music Core 190921 (M Countdown 190919 for better camerawork… I like that one more tbh) Fearless @ GDA (Golden Disc Awards) 2021 (live vocals not as prominent but it’s one of their coolest performances, a b-side, please check out fear first) Fallin Flower, 24h @ Hare 2021 Online Fanmeet (yes it’s on youtube) ; for Fallin Flower the Korean version @ Seoul Music Awards is good too Call Call Call @ Live on Happy Ending Showcase (youtu.be/sgGa7qyGIF0) *✨EDIT: found a better version and added here <3* (Hare Online Fanmeet is better for vocals but there's less dancing) Happy Ending @ Live on Happy Ending Showcase (youtu.be/enOEr3g06aY) Crazy In Love @ Show Music Core 170527 (live vocals most prominent here, unfortunately it’s a shortened version, other stages are good too tho) (this is a b-side) Don’t Wanna Cry @ Inkigayo 170618 (but they’re all similar I think) Pretty U @ Show Music Core 160528 Aju Nice @ ShowChampion ep. 193 For more live vocals, their "Rolling Stone - In My Room" performance (Pinwheel, Trauma, Lilili Yabbay) is very good. They also have live band sessions for RWY and _World. Svt have really cool award show and festival performances too, they really put on a show and remix their songs to make it fresh and new. Definitely worth checking out at a later time ~ And I can’t help you with fancams bc I don’t really watch them, sorry. I think with svt it’s a bit tricky bc in some songs specific members are in the back/covered by other members for the majority of the time (like it’s the case with Josh in Darling), so not every song and fancam shows them off. Hopefully someone else can recommend some good ones tho! <3

You're adorable, lol. I really enjoyed your commentary and reactions, here - especially for the "Rock with You" performance - and I actually appreciate how you discern whether or not they're singing live. It's not something I'm generally aware of, so hearing your thoughts on it is a really interesting point. The hiphop unit's vocals were really awesome. In regards to how to call them, just go with what you're comfortable with - as someone else mentioned, they and carats use a mix.

oh my god you are so kind. I don't even know what to say this is just so lovely so thank you for compiling this all for me! will definitely look to this when wanting to react to things in the future, though eventually I do want to react to all the stages and they won't always be live. :]

you’re welcome! it’s no trouble, i had made a similar list for a friend last year so i had it 80% ready basically. glad to know it can come in handy again 🥰
