Drawing these two together has been something in the works for so long I actually thought I’d never get to it.

Now that I was finally doing it, I wanted to fill it with as much symbolism as I could without making it overwhelming. Something as complex yet as simple as their relationship.

The intense, controlling stare of Xavier while holding Eric as a possession yet offering himself as a docile companion. In contrast, the sad demeanor of Eric, holding onto hope, strong grip yet surrending posing. Forming an X together, the thing that binds them to each other.
