Wrong victim, wrong monster, wrong story.

Hey y’all!

Had to take it sooo slow with this one I almost end up abandoning it but so happy to have finished it. Such a emotionally charged piece.

I’ve always been a little annoyed by how Medusa is usually portrayed, a victim of abuse from not only a god but Zeus’ brother, Poseidon himself in Athena’s temple. Turned into a monster and exiled as a form of unfair punishment by the goddess and on top of it all hunted to be used as a trophy.

Truly a horrific story and such an unfair portrayal of her to be painted as vile creature, feels like playing into the abuser’s side even if this is just fiction and nothing but a Rome version of it. But that’s exactly why I painted her with nothing but her solitude, an almost apathetic stare and a white robe representing her innocence.

As always, you can download the wallpapers from the post or get them from our collection here.

Remember this is early access, so if you want to reshare or post the piece, please wait until I post it for the public this weekend.

NSFW right after this!
