Hey y’all!

How can you bring a young queen, a young goddess to life in a world where every other person has superhumane gifts and excessive cynicism?

You create an environment where they can impose, you manufacture presence before you even have a chance to look at them. Would you not fear the clouds suddenly parting in two letting a peek of the sunny sky shower you with light? Would you not fear the person commanding them?

That’s what i tried to capture in this piece, Ororo herself imposes looking at you from the skies, flying and making a whole city seem small in comparison to her, dressed in wakandian clothing and covered in gold. But what makes her standout between the other three X-Men pieces, what makes her feel otherworldly is the sky and light behind her and how it interacts with her, almost like following her script.

In love with the casting of Maya Boyd, hope to draw her as The Storm many more times!
