Patreon History Channel: Aphrodite and Eros (Patreon)

Ok, I can't stop drawing this stuff, I'm going crazy with them! Here is another example of ancient greek pottery: here we have Aphrodite threatening Eros with a sandal. I don't know if this happen in your place, but a classic gesture of each Italian mom (especially in the southern regions) is the threat of beating you with the slipper if you don't obey. I read that latin american moms are used to do it, then you can understand a little how amazing is finding this artwork that tells us this is a very old habit of all the moms! It made me laugh a lot and I decided to redraw it also because is a very expressive scene. The guy on the side should be Apollo because he has a laurel crown on his head. The bird should be a crow in the original artwork. It's white because according to the myth crows where originally white, then Apollo changed their color to black as a punishment for telling him an affair between his lover and a human. I drew a pigeon just to make the scene more ridiculous. How many things you learn staying here, even Greek mythology!
