I had an artist's block last Monday. I wanted to draw something for today, but I couldn't come up with anything good. I had a long list of things I wanted to draw, but none of them seemed good that day, and the sketches I made looked terrible. Then, I stopped and started working on a couple of projects. It might sound crazy, but I feel good when I have a plot or script because I just have to draw something that someone else has already thought of and written.

It's almost relaxing. This helped improve my mood so I wouldn't waste more time thinking that everything I drew was terrible and that I wasn't good at it anymore. I had a productive day, and the next day I felt better. I found a nice reference, and I drew this girl on a chair.I did it without a precise idea; I did it because I liked her. Then I added the rest. I don't know when I'll experience another artist's block, but at least I know how to overcome it for now.

here is the time lapse video of the drawing process: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/7sjp99zjm78xeqfcon6f9/howtoseat.mp4?rlkey=3tvxbzoqisugveeqcy9ajew4m&dl=0

She looks wonderful! Relaxed and yet dominant. Thanks for sharing about the artist's block. Lots of us creatives get blocked like this. It's inspiring to see you working through it!

Yes, I often read on social media about my colleagues having this kind of problem. I'm lucky because my artist's block lasts less than a day. It's more frequent I'm stuck with something in particular, then i can switch to another task and the problem always solves by itself...
