A lot of people didnt like this episode but i think it was necesary. It's well spoted what you said about kali, that could be Eleven if she havent meet with hop and friends. Good reaction as always, cant ait for the next one ❤️

This is actually the consensus worst episode of the entire series and Kali was voted as the worst character in the entire show 😆. This episode was actually an attempt to develop a spinoff series but it was so unpopular that they scrapped the idea altogether. Personally I think the episode is okay but I am definitely glad we are passed it now and back to the original storyline.

This episode is the main thing I remembered about season 2 and I wish it wasn't because it taints the season a bit for me😅 watching it again with you made me hate it less though! I appreciated your observations about Kali and Eleven, made me understand Kali more! I'm a little biased about Ray(the guy they went to kill) and letting him live because he played a guy I loved a lot in The Mentalist hahaha A good thing I initially overlooked in this episode is that Kali actually taught El how to boost her powers - level up! 😂 Very excited to watch next episode with you!

I'm actually not sure why I historically haven't liked this episode. I always thought I was the only one, but apparently other people agree with me which is comforting lol. I think it's less to do with the episode and more to do with the side-story that never really amounts to anything. l feel like the writers were trying to make it seem like Kali's storyline would be some majorly important arc for the show, but everything about it just sorta feels out of place. The futuristic/grunge/urban outfits drive me nuts. It's one of the rare instances where I feel like the show was trying too hard to go in a different direction that didn't fit the overall vibe of the show. I mean, I think there are certain moments from this episode that play into El's character arc, but I feel like the whole Kali storyline could have been substituted for something else and had a more effective result. That's just my personal opinion, though lol

I truly believe the only reason this episode got so much hate is because it came right after a huge cliffhanger episode. It felt out of place but I think it’s a necessary storyline personally for El’s development.

People really are much too hard on this episode and Kali as a character...she was necessary to start answering some of the questions about what they did at Hawkins Lab and why there is an 11, but no 1-10...also, 11 needed to learn from Kali and more importantly, she needed to learn where she really belongs. However...I was going to try and avoid the Kali spoiler for Hannah's benefit...but since some here already dropped it...I actually really do think we may still see 8 back yet...I think there will come a point where she is actually needed...since 11 isn't "complete" enough on her own without her power as well to be an equal match for...well...spoilers...

Very refreshing to hear you enjoyed this episode! Literally every reactor I’ve watched (and I’ve watched many) dislike this episode and so does a lot of people as others have said. I personally never hated it, is it the best episode of the show? No, but it’s also not the worst and to me it’s very important for Eleven’s character development. Ever since season 1 El has been questioning if maybe she’s the monster, but in this episode she had a very clear choice between good and evil and she chose good and thus proved to herself that she is not an evil person.
