I'm betting that Ash really liked this reaction Hannah, especially your opinions of Mike's mom's flirtations with Billy. Given Ash's low opinion of Katniss's situational affections in the reaction to the Hunger Games movies I'm sure he appreciates knowing you were telling Mike's mom to go home and work out her home problems rather than meeting up with Billy. The moral of this story, though, was that for dads Demagorgons and Demadogs and the Upside-Down are easier to deal with than having a heart-to-heart with your teenage daughter and her boyfriend about boundaries. And of course there is the symbolism(s) of boundaries or the lack thereof, whether it was for Mike and Elle and Hopper or the boundary between the real world and the upside down.

I like that we see little bits of what's underneath Billy. He's like a big bully and a huge d*ck but underneath he's not. It's what he's sort of been shaped into. I like when we have depth to characters like this and I love that you notice it!
