You were correct about the time zones. Steve and Luke were in California on the west Coast and Theo and Shirley were In Boston I believe on the west Coast. So a 3 hour time difference. So they all woke up at the same time 12:03/3:03

I love that you're watching this show and already picking up so much. Theo is one of the sisters. She's the first sister young Steve talks to at the very beginning. I don't want this to come out the wrong way but I will say to maybe not speak over the dialogue because a lot might get missed, although I do like hearing your thoughts I just don't want you to miss anything :). Saying that though this show is great on a rewatch to catch little things you miss the first time :)

I've been in recovery for addiction and alcoholism for about 18 years. Everyone is pretty much correct on the "chip" description. Upon deciding to get clean from any substance, you may go to rehab or may not. You can go to AA or NA either way. In Alcoholics Anonymous, you recieve a chip for milestones. First day, 30, 60, 90, 6 months and then yearly. The first 5 are usually plastic poker chips, the year chip is a medallion. In Narcotics Anonymous, you recieve keychains of various colors to mark each of these milestones. It is a reminder of all the challenges you have overcome, a motivation to continue and it gives you a sense of great accomplishment. The more chips (days) you get.....the harder you'll fight to not start over, in my experience. However, you can always return for a first day chip and start over at anytime. Luke's story is very difficult for me to watch because I can relate. Just thought I would elaborate incase someone needed to know. Thanks for the reaction Hannah! Love ya girl! ❤️

Hannah!! You have no idea how elated I am to see that you’re reacting to this! I’ve recommended this so many times to all of my reactors and nobody ever listens! This was such a great surprise. I can’t wait for the rest of the season. The haunting of Bly Manor is a completely different story, but has almost all of the same actors in different roles and has a lot of little connections to hill house. to get the most out of it it’s best to watch them back to back but not required. You’re the best Hannah! You made my week!

Hey Hannah long time watcher love your reactions and ash’s laugh but I hope the vampire diaries makes your list soon if you really wanna see a great cast of actors and good story (except after season 6 🙄) then u will like the vampire diaries and the follow up series after that the originals.

This show is AMAZING Hannah, it uses tension to be very scary but has a gripping story behind the horror. I think Ash would love this series too if he hasn't seen it yet. Make sure to compare the "horror" to mental health, trauma and grief; you will see those themes reflected alot in this show and in each kiddo. The kids are in order of age are Steve -> Shirley -> Theo -> Luke/Nell

So I could totally be misinterpreting this, chat correct me if I'm wrong, but when Steve is in the lady's bedroom, what's weird is the heat signature on the camera is initially BRIGHT red where she saw Carl. When Steve gets up on the bed to investigate, the camera seems to glitch and the temperature signature changes to a normal blue tone for cool temps like a water leak, and you see Steve's head. I think the ghost WAS there, Steve just couldn't see him, and the ghost left when Steve got on the bed.

I love how sucked in you are - I think you'll really enjoy the rest of the series (and hopefully the other Flanagan shows after this). Steve often gets ripped to shreds by viewers because he can be so blunt and insensitive, but he's my favourite in the show - not because I relate to him or even like him the most, but because he reminds me *so much* of one of my brothers in a way that I have never seen in a fictional character before. The way he responds to things, the skepticism, the directness - it's all so, so familiar. Without trauma dumping on you all here, I see a lot of myself in Nel - I have my own mental health issues, I am the youngest of my siblings - and her relationship with Steve mirrors the one I have with my brother so well that it's uncanny. (Except for the believing in ghosts part, of course. If anything my brother views the field of psychiatry as a lot of new age nonsense. There is tension, as you might imagine.) The father, Hugh, reminds me of my father and his endless practicality and desire to fix things. Luke reminds me of my oldest brother, who is soft-spoken and sensitive in a way that not many people appreciate. Any time I see a new viewer talk about how bad the communication is in the family, how they love but can't seem to support each other in the way they need, it hits home.
