In the US there are these things called "megachurches" that are Christian but sort of a wild subset of Christianity, they make A TON of money, the followers are VERY devout, and the leaders are theatrical/charismatic like Ezekiel, def worth a Google, its a bit of a rabbit hole. Anyway, that's what this episode touches on a bit lol love you guys!! ❤️

Hannah is pretty spot on about Madelyn manipulating Homelander, as she’s not a supe thats how she keeps him on a leash. I also hate The Deep so much but he does have a lot of funny lines.

I am so glad you are reacting to the show, but I totally know what you mean. And tbh you guys do miss alot through talking - so its worth a rewatch in your own time if you'd care to. Also When I was watching Season 4 when it was released last year, I absolutely thought to myself -this show was made for Ash. And it only gets more intense in every way.

Im far behind at this point but last mention that homelander couldn’t have done anything about the plane. He could not have just balanced it on one finger as a plane cannot do that😭this has more realism than like Superman and marvel stuff to an extent ofc.

People are free to believe what they would like, and there isn't an issue about wanting to share your belief, as long as you aren't making people join, or using force. That being said, it's so wild that Christianity is being used (I would also say misportrayed often) in entertainment and shows like these, I feel like it's the number one faith they always pick lol.

I was raised in a Christian household. I went to church 3 times a week; Sunday morning worship, a Sunday night worship, and an additional Wednesday evening worship. I went for 16 years. I've been to many churches of different types and I've read the Bible front to back twice. Since leaving, I have dug even deeper into religious lore and scripture than i did when i believed, so I can know the ideas of these types of people and counter balance them. They 100% teach what is portrayed here. Don't get me wrong, not all of them. But even the moderate ones try to tip toe around the idea of being gay and such. And most churches are not "moderate".
