This is quickly becoming one of my very favourite things to watch every week!! Do y'all know about MKUltra across the pond? It was a real thing our government did to us, it didn't result in anybody getting superpowers but some branches of it did experiment on children, and pregnant women. It's really spooky the stuff the CIA actually got away with.

Okay, mystery solved. The light must also have, or have come with a cordless remote. Most cordless remotes shoot an IR (infrared) beam to do a thing. Slightly different wavelengths for different devices, or functions, but whatever button you pressed on the TV remote at 7:41(volume?) hit the same wavelength as the light. Boom! I AM THE SMARTEST MAN ALIIIIIIVE. Hahaha, and humble. So humble. Also, SIDEBAR: What is your necklace?

The snippets help a ton, thanks for adding them! I will say that the counting might help more if you counted down to hitting play instead of immediately as you start. When I watch on Netflix the runtime is counted down. No worries if I'm the only one though!

A couple notes. The ladder Barb climbed up was a bit of a clue/foreshadowing. If you consider where she was when she was last seen/photographed there is is a 'ladder' near by that you also see part of in this episode when Nancy revisits where Barb was last seen. One of the subtler 80s throw back things in this episode, whether it was foreshadowing or just an 80s era prop, that had a strong connection to that time frame was the "Trapper Keeper" notebook in Nancy's locker. They were a brand of notebook back then and I most definitely had one like that back then. Another school supply from that time frame would have been a Peachee folder, but I think things were far from Peachee in this episode.

Late to the conversation but ... remember that Eleven's vocabulary is limited, there are many words she's just learning. There is so much she knows but just can't convey yet. All I can say is patience. I've seen the show before but it's so enjoyable to experience it again from your point of view.
