UNCUT - The Bishop's Wife (1947) Movie Reaction - Sync to Streaming / Bluray (Patreon)
Content
Hi all! Here's my reaction to the wonderful "The Bishop's Wife" (1947)!
I absolutely love this film and definitely a festive favourite now.
Just so you know, there is a known issue with the newer physical media versions of this film. The Samuel Goldwyn DVD version is the only version intact, it seems. The Bluray has the issue that they re-scanned the original film reels and then cleaned them up... but missed a few lines of dialogue later in the film, along with trimming a few scenes slightly (like a scene of Grant playing the harp).
So to combat this issue and to watch the full version in the best quality, I have edited together my own version with all parts intact from both the Bluray and DVD combined and watched that version.
However, to sync with your own copies, I was left with the issue that it wouldn't sync... so I re-timed it all to be correct your end. THIS version syncs correctly to the Bluray & Streaming version and then I have another version I'll post, which will work to sync to the PAL DVD (Samuel Goldwyn) version. I hope this all makes sense.
Either way, the better quality full version will be the one shown in the edited YouTube video and wanted to have watched all parts, so this was the best way to do so.
Anyway! I hope you enjoy
