Munirah's sudden change of expression in that third panel.... I hope I'm wrong, and she just didn't hear his threat- but she may have already accepted that Gatura might kill the cubs, and is about to (literally) turn a blind eye. I'm not saying she's maliciously waiting for them to die, but she may be ready for the possibility and not willing put up a fight, since that's what male lions do. Silently coming to terms at best, jaded and uncaring at worst- her expression is beautifully difficult to read. She's such a complex character with interesting morality.
