Yea the reveal at the end had me shook as well first time I watched it. Also, in one of the previous episodes during Mark's session with Ms Casey, his wife, he was asked to mold something with Clay and if you guys remember, he molded the tree where she supposedly died. That's also why Cobel, their boss, was watching that session so intensely, to see if it would somehow trigger their memories.
