Nah the philosopher stone is deconfirmed remember ed and al agreed not to use it because the ingredients are human souls which is immoral to use for recovering their bodies

By the way this episode wrapped some clever foreshadowing. In episode 11 on that training island they used to set traps for rabbits, so in this episode Ed uses his automail arm as bait to trap Lan Fan. Good writing there folks!
